It looks like it hasn't moved on since the original announcement in early 2021 but happy to be told differently if anyone knows?

  5. Las Vegas Sands is doubling down on its commitment to bringing casinos to Texas with a new political action committee that is starting out with over $2 million to spend.

In its first report with the Texas Ethics Commission, Texas Sands PAC showed initial funding of $2.3 million from Miriam Adelson, Las Vegas Sands’ majority shareholder. She is the widow of Sheldon Adelson, a GOP megadonor and former CEO of the Sands. It already has spent over half a million dollars, mostly to help incumbents who were facing primary competition.
Texas has some of the most restrictive gaming laws in the country, but last year, Las Vegas Sands made the most serious effort yet to open the door to casinos in the state. The centerpiece of its proposal was to ask voters if they wanted to build “destination resorts” with casino gambling in the state’s four biggest metropolitan areas.

A guitar-shaped hotel tower, built by Hard Rock International, at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino resort, in Florida, US, is one of the biggest buildings of its kind in the world. The hotel project was part of a $1.5bn renovation and expansion of the resort. Announced in October 2017, the 3.2 million square-foot expansion plan included 13 projects in total.

The guitar-shaped hotel is a 450ft-tall, 36-storey building, with a floor area of 596,044ft². It incorporates back-to-back guitar-shaped structures, with guitar faces and necks.
The hotel tower added 638 new guestrooms, suites, and over-water cabanas to the existing 1,270 rooms. The average size of the guestrooms is 525ft². The tower also features up to 30 new restaurants, lounges, and bars.

The project also involved the development of 120,000ft² of meeting space to host banquets, corporate events, conventions, and private gatherings, as well as a 38,000ft² exhibit hall for industrial exhibitions. The meeting spaces offer world-class food and beverage options, high-speed Wi-Fi access, and advanced audio-visual technologies.

The hotel building also includes a 42,000ft² spa complex, featuring a 3,600ft² salon, and a 3,200ft² fitness facility.

The team behind the installation of Museum of the Future reveals details of lights that bring out the beauty of the calligraphy! As much as the unique design of this building is important, its lighting plays a big role too.

“The role of lighting in the building façade was to highlight the calligraphy art and we amazingly achieved that task. It was a very proud moment for all of us to see the building lit up during the inaugural ceremony. We are part of the history now because we worked on the ‘Most Beautiful Building on Earth’,” he added.

“At this point, JTS connected the feeds to conduits that feed the fixtures power and data. The data cables are connected to DMX Controllers that enable the linear lights to be dimmed or turned off. The panels are arranged around the Arabic calligraphy of Sheikh Mohammed’s poetry and connected in such a way that it allows for specific segments of the façade calligraphy to be turned on or off in sequence. “

This allows for segments of calligraphy to be turned on, telling a story or a specific message when the museum is viewed from a distance.

“The first word that was lit up for the first time on May 22, 2019 for His Highness was ‘Mustaqabal’ in Arabic, which means future in English,” he recalled.

Chaliyil said 45 skilled technicians worked on the project for almost 35 months for the installation of the lighting. “We spend almost 54,000 man hours in the project. It was led by our senior project engineer Hazin Mohammed and supported by supervisor Sandeep Ajithkumar and foreman Vinod.”
