Exterior Painting Begins for Disney Vacation Club Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

The next milestone for the Disney Vacation Club construction at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort has begun. The first bits of paint have been applied to the exterior of the pre-fab concrete structure.

The Ministry of Planning and Investment has submitted a report to the Prime Minister for a US$2.18 billion tourist complex, featuring a casino, in northern Quang Ninh Province.

The People's Committee of Quang Ninh has proposed to build the complex, a premium tourist destination with hotels and resorts, on a 245-hectare site in Van Yen village, Van Don district.

The project, with an initial capital of VND51.55 trillion ($2.18 billion), is anticipated to complete by the third quarter of 2032, spanning less than nine years of construction. Once approved, it will operate for a duration of 70 years.

The Minister of Tourism of the Dominican Republic, David Collado, and Cisneros Real Estate (Cisneros) announced plans for the development of Four Seasons Resort and Residences Dominican Republic in Tropicalia, a sustainable luxury destination located on a 24-hectare site along the pristine beach of Playa Esmeralda in the northeast of the Dominican Republic.

With construction underway, the project is scheduled to open in early 2026.

The property will include a 95-room resort and 25 private residences of three- and four-bedroom units, all located steps from the beach.

We caught wind of this development in earlier months but was unable to visit prior. It is still under construction and we aim to make another visit in the near future.

UK’s Largest Surfing Wave Pool Under Construction In Edinburgh

Located at the site of the former Craigpark Quarry near the Edinburgh airport, The Lost Shore Surf Resort claims that its Wavegarden Cove-powered pool will produce 1,000 waves per hour once it’s fully operational. Around the pool itself will be an 820-foot long beachfront, lodges, a food market, a restaurant and a spa. The accommodations will include 31 luxury lodges for up to eight people and 22 premium pods accommodating between two and six people, as the Edinburgh News reports.

The Lost Shore Surf resort is set to open September 2024.

Fire damaged Rowleys Bay Resort in Wisconsin is listed for sale at $2.15 million.

The property is in front of a public boat landing, has a waterfront view of the Mink River, and Rowleys Bay accesses Lake Michigan and Newport State Park and will be sold "as-is."

Before the fire, the resort had a 65,000-square foot main lodge, two- and three-bedroom suites, a restaurant, pub, and indoor pool.
