Scotland is preparing for the opening of the world’s first inland surf resort, an innovative, multi-million pound facility located in a former Edinburgh quarry

On the outskirts of Edinburgh the final phase of construction is underway on the transformation of the former Craigpark Quarry into a multi-million pound sports and visitor attraction.

When it opens in late summer 2024, Lost Shore Surf Resort will become the world’s first inland surf resort and the largest of its kind in Europe.

The 60-acre country park surrounding the surf lagoon will contain lodges and pods, while a hub overlooking the cove will have a restaurant, food market, shops, surf school and wellness spa

A HUGE new attraction is set to open in the UK - and it will be even bigger than the Eden Project in Cornwall. Called the Eden Project Foyle, the £67million development hopes to open in Derry-Londonderry in 2025.

The main attraction will be the Acorn, a "performance area and play space" connected by walkway, with the entire site being the largest undercover play area in Europe.This includes zip wires, rope bridges, slides, floating boardwalks and even paths on the roof that both adults and kids can walk along.

Chamonix Casino Hotel, a new resort in Cripple Creek owned by Bronco Billy’s parent company Full House Resorts, is opening its casino and 300-room hotel Tuesday.

The hotel project, which Full House Resorts CEO Daniel Lee said cost approximately $300 million to build, will continue to be worked on during the next several months due to construction delays Lee attributed to ongoing labor shortages and a limited pool of skilled craftsmen.

Construction crews and craftsmen that finished working on the lodging and casino portions of the resort and will move on to the hotel’s restaurant, set to open Feb. 1 and the casino’s jewelry store later that month, Lee said. Crews will finish construction of the resort’s spa and pool area in April.

The @DisneyCruise Disney Treasure ship has reached yet another milestone in construction – the completion of its last block. Cruise ships are built in blocks (sections). With the last block in place, this means that the ship is now structurally complete and outfitting work can begin.
