Inspired by the aesthetics of New York City, Central promises fresh beats, a state of the art arcade and a menu of classic American dishes. It’s open to kids and big kids alike, and is the latest addition to an already buzzing scene at Yas Bay Waterfront.

There’s weekly live music happening at Yas Bay with Waterfront Weekends with entertainment, musical performances and events every weekend from Friday to Sunday. Soak up the good vibes from every corner of the boardwalk from 5.30pm until late.

The latest sporting craze has arrived at Yas Island.

Padel tennis has taken Abu Dhabi’s fitness scene by storm with a high-energy sport that’s easy to love. You can soon play padel tennis on Yas Island at Marina Padel.

Marina Padel is situated in the beautiful Yas Marina and is set to open soon. Play padel tennis on Yas Island on one of the four padel courts spanning an area of 800 square metres.

In October 2020, an anonymous buyer purchased a Tyrannosaurus Rex skeleton, known as Stan, for $31.8 million, the most expensive fossil ever purchased at auction. For two years, the bones disappeared from the public eye, leaving paleontologists concerned about the potential loss to science—until now.

For National Geographic, reporter Michael Greshko has revealed the dinosaur will be housed in a new natural history museum in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

National Geographic's Greshko, who broke the story on Stan's new home, found Stan using United States' shipping and trade records. He identified a shipment worth $31,847,500—Stan's exact sale price—that was exported from New York to the UAE in May 2021. On March 23, 2022, Abu Dhabi's Department of Culture and Tourism confirmed Stan's new home would be in the new Natural History Museum of Abu Dhabi, which is currently under construction and slated to open in 2025, per National Geographic.

New waterfront residential project on Yas Island announced

The residence will constitute more than 230 units with a goal to accomplish the entire construction in 368 days from the day of launch. It will portray an entire Yas Bay lifestyle through Townhouse Villas, Luxury Apartments, and Health Club.

Aldar to develop Dhs1.8bn The Sustainable City – Yas Island project in Abu Dhabi

The community will span an area of 397,000 sqm in Yas North, with construction scheduled to commence in Q4 2022.

It will comprise of 864 townhouses and apartments, as well as 3,000 sqm of retail space.

The Sustainable City – Yas Island will be powered by renewable energy, enabling residents to save up to 100 per cent on energy bills.

The masterplan envisions green, energy-efficient designs, car-free residential clusters, recycling facilities, and indoor vertical farms.

Looks like Yas Island is getting more apartments.

Reportage Properties has announced the start of construction work on its Diva project on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi.

The project – which will add 736 new housing units with prices starting at AED510,000 – is planned to be finished and handed over by the last quarter of 2024.

It is one of 12 real estate estates being developed by Reportage Properties in the UAE, providing about 6,000 homes in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, in addition to a project that has already been handed over in Masdar City.

Yas Bay Waterfront on Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island is one of the most exciting F&B developments in the UAE. The capital’s ‘adventure island’ is already home to a handful of hotels, including the W Abu Dhabi – Yas Island, and restaurants and bars at Yas Marina, but the new development, which opened to tie in with the UAE’s 50th national day, has seen a number of big-name operators move into Abu Dhabi.
