Aldar to develop Dhs1.8bn The Sustainable City – Yas Island project in Abu Dhabi

The community will span an area of 397,000 sqm in Yas North, with construction scheduled to commence in Q4 2022.

It will comprise of 864 townhouses and apartments, as well as 3,000 sqm of retail space.

The Sustainable City – Yas Island will be powered by renewable energy, enabling residents to save up to 100 per cent on energy bills.

The masterplan envisions green, energy-efficient designs, car-free residential clusters, recycling facilities, and indoor vertical farms.

Yas Acres The Dahlias are the newest and final addition to the Yas Island community, with 120 new homes.

Looks like Yas Island is getting more apartments.

Reportage Properties has announced the start of construction work on its Diva project on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi.

The project – which will add 736 new housing units with prices starting at AED510,000 – is planned to be finished and handed over by the last quarter of 2024.

It is one of 12 real estate estates being developed by Reportage Properties in the UAE, providing about 6,000 homes in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, in addition to a project that has already been handed over in Masdar City.

Yas Bay Waterfront on Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island is one of the most exciting F&B developments in the UAE. The capital’s ‘adventure island’ is already home to a handful of hotels, including the W Abu Dhabi – Yas Island, and restaurants and bars at Yas Marina, but the new development, which opened to tie in with the UAE’s 50th national day, has seen a number of big-name operators move into Abu Dhabi.

Yas Bay Waterfront

The walking space is wide and offers beautiful views of the Arabian Gulf as well as Al Raha Beach skyline.

There are bespoke artworks that have been commissioned and dotted around the attraction. For example, behind Pier 71 is a giant astronaut resting on a bench, while near Etihad Arena is an unmissable large sculpture emerging from the water.

Aldar Properties launches Yas Acres Golf and Country Club on Yas Island

Golf enthusiasts will have access to a world-class nine-hole golf course nestled within the community across 130 acres.

Dana Fry of Straka Global Golf Course Design said: “Yas Acres Golf Club is a big course on 130 acres with a massive ridge that reaches close to 10 meters high with desert vegetation on it and lakes and flowing streams running along it.”

The destination will bring new dining concepts to Abu Dhabi, including the Ibiza-style beach club, Cafe del Mar, known for its distinctive ambience, music and Mediterranean cuisine; Paradiso, a globally renowned Mediterranean restaurant helmed by Nicole Rubi, the woman behind La Petite Maison, and Michelin-lauded chef Pierre Gagnaire; and critically acclaimed Japanese street-food concept, Akiba Dori.
