A special meeting will be held today which might greenlight the building of the previously mentioned Atlantic City waterpark.

Formal action may be taken by the Board at this meeting on … final project approval of the Showboat Entertainment Retail District Project,” the CRDA meeting notification explains.
Showboat owner Bart Blatstein, a real estate developer based in Philadelphia, is seeking to have the development classified as an entertainment retail district. If that happens, the endeavor would qualify for construction cost breaks and ongoing reductions in sales taxes at the venue. The New Jersey Casino Reinvestment Development Authority (CRDA) will review the waterpark proposal during a special meeting next week, December 29.

A new waterpark resort expansion could be coming to Atlantic City...

A development agency in Atlantic City approved construction Tuesday of a $100 million water park at the former Showboat casino in a move designed to make the gambling resort more appealing to families and off-season tourists.

But the key to making the project work — 20 years of tax breaks the Showboat’s owner is seeking — has not yet been decided. The Casino Reinvestment Development Authority is expected to consider that request at a meeting within the next few weeks.

But it did give final land use approval to the project, which is to be built on a vacant lot next to the Showboat, which currently operates as a non-gambling hotel.

Looks like another potentially big project coming for Saudi Arabia with The Red Sea Project

Great overview of the project on their main site - https://visiontoreality.theredsea.sa/sub_domain_pages/designs_en

The luxury tourism sector in Saudi Arabia will receive a boost from the Red Sea Project across the country’s west coast including 28,000 square kilometres of land and more than 90 natural islands. The closed joint stock company owned by Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund is developing the project.

The fund has SAR10 billion in tenderers for the Red Sea Project of which about a quarter have already been awarded. The masterplan by architecture firm WATG and engineering consulting company Buro Happold includes 3,000 rooms across 14 luxury and hyper-luxury hotels on five of the islands and two inland resorts. Construction has already started at the worker cabins and by 2030 there will also be a new airport, yacht marina and 8,000 rooms for accommodation.

Potential for a massive new resort including theme parks, water park, multiple hotels, ecology and historical entertainment. It would be a similar size to the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim.

Just 500 meters from Angkor temple park grounds, casino operator NagaCorp has proposed a giant 75-hectare resort with theme parks, a “China Town” and hotels that the company compares to Disneyland. The resort, tentatively named “Angkor Lake of Wonder,” will be situated south of the Angkor Archaeological Park’s protected area in Siem Reap province and is expected to have its initial phase of construction complete by 2025.
The first seven to 10 years will be rent-free, with the company paying about $450,000 a year thereafter, with a 5 percent increase every five years. Over the 50 years, Naga would pay a total of at least $21 million, or about $29 per square meter. In the announcement, NagaCorp says the initial phase, costing $350 million, would see two five-star hotels, a water park, indoor hi-tech theme park, China Town and ancient Angkorian-style canal attraction developed. It has further plans for a spa and cultural gardens.

The construction of Movenpick Hotel & Resort Al Marjan Island is in greater progress. The hotel will boast a prime beachfront location, offering guests unrivaled views of the magnificent Ras Al Khaimah coastline. The hotel offers 5-star amenities, including branded rooms and chalets, in addition to world-class entertainment attractions, restaurants, cafes, fitness facilities, and more.

According to Construction Week this hotel construction should have completed external construction by September 2020 however this is the most recent video I can find and it doesn't look likely! Does anyone have anything more recent to share?
