Scaffolding Erected as Painting Continues on DVC Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

Oman-based private development firm Musstir has started the construction of its Bandar Al Khairan resort in Muscat.

The construction work has started and is being undertaken by the local contractor Al Adrak Contracting Company.

The OMR36m ($93m) five-star hotel will feature 121 rooms and will offer facilities including a dining area, health and sports clubs and various water activities.
Construction is expected to be completed in Q2 2026.

Hard Rock International has announced plans for a big investment at Lake Texoma to include construction of a high-profile hotel, an events center and other signature amenities to join a premier waterfront resort, Pointe Vista.

Construction of the hotel and convention center is slated to begin in March. Development should be complete for opening in the second quarter of 2026, Hricko said.

The hotel will include 189 rooms; additionally, there will be 25 suites and 168 residence rentals available for guests. The 18,000-square-foot conference center and “event lawn” will be perfect for weddings, social events, and corporate events, he said.

The property also will include amenities such as an 11-acre Caribbean Bay water area with white sand beaches featuring islands and cabanas, a Rock Spa, Body Rock Fitness, Hard Rock Roxity Kids Club, a rooftop bar, fine dining and a Rock Shop featuring Hard Rock merchandise and other unique items.

Huafa Snow World, a 131-hectare sport and entertainment destination in Shenzhen, China, designed by architecture firm, 10 Design is slated to open in 2025.The development is anchored by a 80,000sq m indoor ski resort, currently expected to be the largest of its kind in the world when it opens.

Huafa Snow World will have a balance of retail, entertainment, commercial, hospitality, civic and cultural elements with the aim of creating a new and vibrant destination. The development will also include a JW Marriott Hotel with a range of facilities, including a ballroom with panoramic views of the ski slope. The design will revolve around the theme of snow, with ceramic boards and aluminium panels representing glaciers and ice crystals.

Scotland is preparing for the opening of the world’s first inland surf resort, an innovative, multi-million pound facility located in a former Edinburgh quarry

On the outskirts of Edinburgh the final phase of construction is underway on the transformation of the former Craigpark Quarry into a multi-million pound sports and visitor attraction.

When it opens in late summer 2024, Lost Shore Surf Resort will become the world’s first inland surf resort and the largest of its kind in Europe.

The 60-acre country park surrounding the surf lagoon will contain lodges and pods, while a hub overlooking the cove will have a restaurant, food market, shops, surf school and wellness spa
