Everything on the main site just sends you to register your interest and none of the brochures etc give any details of expected handover dates.

Really interested to know if there's anything still being built or any of the new residences are open and people living in them?

What we currently know is that the living areas of Expo city will be called Expo valley and will be split into several projects we have Shamsa townhouses, Sidr residences, Yasmina villas and Maha villas these ones are confirmed and already broke ground Q3 2024 but some still didn't start the process of the making and expected to be completed by Q4 2026 while the projects that broke ground already will expect a handover around Q2 2026 but most of them at this point are still laying foundations

  3. Agree. The new Al Wasl shows are insanely annoying.

  4. They used to play beautiful shows and music at Al Wasl Dome, but what they are testing now day and night is absolutely disgusting. It gives all the people staying at the Rove sleepless nights, and even for visitors it's just unbearable noise. Bad management?

Expo City Dubai launched 2nd phase of its Shamsa Townhouses. A community focused on health and wellbeing, Expo Valley is within a short walk or cycle from all the attractions of Expo City Dubai

Shamsa’s second phase features three- and four-bed townhouses priced from $980,926 and located within a beautiful, green landscape, featuring cycling tracks, walking trails and a nature reserve, as well as a plethora of amenities including playgrounds, recreational facilities, cafés and farm-to-table dining.

  6. For those planning to visit or stay at Rove Expo: some of the food trucks have already closed, e.g. WOFL and Mattar Farm. There are now way less food options at Expo City than just few weeks ago.

The initial stage of the two-phase project is anticipated to reach completion by January 2026. As we eagerly await its completion, Expo City will host COP28 in November, reinforcing its ongoing dedication to championing sustainability.

Expo City Dubai will soon be home to a new mega mall
The Dubai Media Office recently tweeted that the mall is scheduled to officially open in 2024. This means we only have nine months to wait (in excitement). The Expo City Mall promises to have an extensive offering of over 190 shops; and food and beverage outlets. The mall will be based in the new Emaar South project.

Sales for two Expo City Dubai residential communities now open.

The two projects include Expo Valley, a collection of smart and sustainable villas and townhouses, and Mangrove Residences, an inclusive, wellness-focused apartment complex.
Ahmed Al Khatib, chief development and delivery officer at Expo City Dubai, said, “We are delighted to be launching these visionary residential developments at Expo City Dubai, building on the proven success of Expo 2020 and driven by a commitment to create a new way of smart, sustainable, regenerative, people-centric urban living.”

Expo City Dubai will soon reveal plans for residential developments to become a “smart, sustainable, people-centric city of the future.” Developments include apartments, townhouses and villas. Residents will be given a “unique opportunity” to live in the heart of Expo 2020 Dubai’s “proud legacy city.” The city’s districts are car-free to improve safety and air quality.
