Construction of the Enclave villas started in the last week of July, with 3 of the 22 villas already rising at least 5 meters in height. The construction team is currently focusing more on completing the ground-level work and the facades.

No bets yet, but slot machines, roulette wheels and blackjack tables are on the way to the UAE as Wynn Resorts prepares to open the Gulf’s first legal casino in Ras Al Khaimah.

Konami Gaming, a Las Vegas-based subsidiary of Japan’s Konami Group, is the latest to receive a vendor licence from the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA) according to Businesswire.

It joins a roster of companies positioning for business at the $5 billion Al Marjan Island resort, which is set to be bigger than Wynn’s Las Vegas flagship.

Other approved suppliers include Austria’s Novomatic and US-based IGT, which manufacture gaming cabinets and back-end systems; TCSJohnHuxley, a UK-based provider of live-dealer equipment such as roulette wheels and gaming tables; and Australia’s Aristocrat, which specialises in digital slot machines.

Wynn projects annual gross gaming revenue of $1 billion to $1.7 billion from the resort, based on a potential UAE market size of up to $5 billion.

RAK Properties chief executive Sameh Muhtadi told the Arqaam Capital Forum in May that hospitality assets in Ras Al Khaimah were outperforming expectations.

RAK Properties recently signed deals with the hospitality companies Four Seasons and Nikki Beach. Hard Rock International has also announced plans for a hotel near the Wynn resort.

Muhtadi said the Al Marjan casino resort, expected to attract up to 6 million visitors a year, would far exceed its own capacity and drive demand for hotels, short-term rentals and supporting infrastructure.

Many cranes on site have been disassembled since mid-July, indicating that the project is nearing completion. Reportedly, exterior lights are also being installed on the second floor of the tower's wings, and just under 50% of the tower’s glass façade has been installed.

Wynn Resorts is expected to release an official update on Wynn AMI during the Q2 2025 earnings conference on August 7th.
