Luxury tourist destination Sindalah island has received a SR3 billion ($800 million) boost thanks to a new partnership with Riyad Bank.

Riyad Bank announced the funding deal in a tweet, and the money will help towards the goal of having $1 trillion invested in the Kingdom’s tourism industry to achieve 100 million tourists visiting annually by 2030.

NEOM has signed a multi-deal agreement with Marriott International to open three properties on Sindalah Island in the Red Sea. The agreement includes the first Autograph Collection Hotels property in Saudi Arabia and two Luxury Collection properties.

The Luxury Collection, which will open in 2024, is set to open two properties in Sindalah, offering a mix of 70 luxury rooms and suites, including villas featuring private pools. The second project will be an all-suite property with 115 luxury suites, situated in the retail and marina district of Sindalah. Both properties will offer multiple culinary experiences and leisure facilities.

The Autograph Collection property is set to open in 2024 with 66 rooms and suites, multiple dining options, a kids club, and a spa.

NEOM has kicked off its Discover NEOM tour in Jeddah to promote investment opportunities in the $500 billion mega project in Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea.

With NEOM having moved to the building phase of the project and the first destination – Sindalah – due to open its doors in 2024, the tour, which will take place in cities in around the Kingdom, forms part of NEOM’s ongoing efforts to highlight the rapid progress it has been making across its various sectors and across NEOM regions including THE LINE, TROJENA, OXAGON and Sindalah Island.

The opening of the Discover NEOM KSA tour in Saudi Arabia’s second-largest city saw several industry pioneers, entrepreneurs and prominent investors meet with top executives from NEOM to explore future opportunities.

The meetings offered attendees engaging discussions to learn how the project is accelerating human progress, driving ground-breaking innovation and attracting the brightest minds from the Kingdom and the world – pioneers who are aiming to serve as an engine for the Kingdom’s economy, create jobs, support the country’s progress and augment its non-oil GDP.

The various talks discussed in detail how NEOM will redefine sectors based on the circular economy, champion the best sustainability practices and preserve natural resources.

NEOM and it’s Sindalah, as surreal and controversial the whole project is, it is happening.
The first guests are to be welcome on the island at the beginning of 2024.

It will be the first of ten completed regions of the megacity of NEOM in northwestern Saudi Arabia. Sindalah is well located for European boat owners and accessible via the Suez Canal.



Soon enough we will find out if it will become the new favorite yachting or golfing destination.

Work in Saudi Arabia’s futuristic city of NEOM is steady and on the right track where 20 percent of the project’s infrastructure has been completed, NEOM’s CEO Nadhmi al-Nasr told Al Arabiya on Thursday.

“I can say that we have finished what amounts to 20 percent of [NEOM’s] infrastructure and work is ongoing in 2023,” al-Nasr told Al Arabiya on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos. “The most important thing is being able to expand the infrastructure to all areas where we are ready to start building.”

As a main gateway to the Red Sea, Sindalah Island is expected to be the first project to open and to welcome visitors starting early 2024, NEOM CEO said.
