The Sam Lord's Barbados Resort is still having some issues by the looks of it but this video shows that at least some of the work has been started on the Wyndham property surrounding it...
Would be interested to hear more about it as there's not a lot of detail online and Wyndham have been keeping very quiet about it.

This video is from March 2021

This video is from October 2021

Plenty of movement between the two but no "official" news to be found.

This abondoned masterplanned development in Turkey isn't the only one, I didn't realise there is another developement in the same area also with identical villas which they talk about in the video. Really interesting look at how these huge developements can go wrong and what ges left behind.

  5. It’s just a 10-minute seaplane or 45-minute speedboat trip from Malé’s Velana International Airport up to the Fari Islands archipelago in the North Malé Atoll, where the first Ritz-Carlton property in the Maldives opened June 1 2021
With seemingly every major luxury brand already operating in the Maldives, it is noteworthy that Ritz-Carlton is just now entering that market. “Expanding into this destination is something we have had our eye on for a long time, as we continue to evolve our portfolio, [and this] is the perfect moment for us to debut in the Maldives, as luxury travelers continue to seek out opportunities for meaningful exploration and reconnection, as well as destinations that offer access to open spaces and natural beauty,” Donna McNamara, vice president and global brand leader for Ritz-Carlton, tells Robb Report.

Rates start at $1,500 a night for one-bedroom villas, $4,400 a night for two-bedroom villas and $22,500 per night for the Ritz-Carlton Estate.

  9. The newest Nickelodeon resort has officially opened its doors in the Caribbean: Karisma’s new Nickelodeon Hotels and Resorts Riviera Maya. And the resort has a very special perk: every single room is of the swim-up variety. he new property has 280 suites — and all of them are oceanfront, swim-up units.

The highlight of the property is a six-acre water park called Aqua Nick, with 2,000 square feet of water slides, along with river rides, a lazy river and amenities like the Paw Patrol Adventure Bay interactive playground.
