The Arts District in downtown Las Vegas is set to welcome a new neighbor very soon.

The English Hotel, by celebrity chef Todd English, opens next week at Main Street and Coolidge Avenue. The hotel is designed for guests who don’t want to stay on the busy Las Vegas Strip. The property features 74 high-end rooms and an onsite restaurant, The Pepper Club, named after the chef’s dog.
The English Hotel is part of the Marriott Tribute portfolio and is managed by Sightline Hospitality.

Bally's is being refurbished and rebranded as "Horseshoe Casino".

Caesars Entertainment Inc. plans to transform Bally’s Las Vegas into a Horseshoe casino through a multimillion-dollar renovation project starting this spring. The rebranding will allow the World Series of Poker to reunite with the Horseshoe brand – its original home – after more than a dozen years at the Rio.

Renovations on the 2,810-room property will begin this spring with the poker room, before branching out to the exterior, casino floor and other public areas. Hotel rooms will not be included in the renovation project and will remain open for booking.

An interesting look at what happened to the project that eventually became Resorts World; Echelon Place. It was due to be one of the biggets properties on the strip ever with a massive 5,000 hotel rooms! You may recognise the the distinctive sweeping shape of the hotel towers that are now open as Resorts World.

The Aria, Las Vegas just debuted invite-only suites.

Aria boasts some of the city's most exciting culinary outlets – including Xiao Long Bao from Michelin-starred Taiwanese soup dumpling house Din Tai Fung and the ever-Instagrammable, spicy rigatoni-slinging Carbone. Let us not forget their 80,000-square-foot, desert-inspired spa, pool oasis, and gaming offerings; this is Vegas after all. But while the building's modern design still feels fresh over a decade in, Las Vegas is an extremely competitive market for the highest-end customers. Given that, Aria is just wrapping up a multiyear renovation of their VIP hotel within a hotel concept: Sky Suites.

These 442 penthouses have long been regarded as some of Las Vegas' most-coveted accommodations, but now they are even more in demand. The one- and two-bedroom Sky Suites range from 1,050 to 2,060 square feet in size and have been re-imagined by Rottet Studio

Sky Villas' guests arrive in Rolls-Royce Phantoms and are met by Champagne-baring butlers who whisk them directly up to their accommodations. Naturally, the dining tables are adorned with welcome fruits, charcuterie boards, and preferred libations – be it a bottle of Opus One, Chateau Lafite, or Macallen 25. Continue and you will find a fully stocked bar, bathrooms with your choice of Hermès, Bulgari, or Creed products, and Dyson hair dryers. Feeling peckish? Just call your butler who will personally walk you to a prime table at any restaurant on-site. Naturally, there are also in-villa kitchens should you prefer a celebrity chef swing by to prepare a memorable meal. And while we can't possibly begin to describe the entirety of their offerings, we would be remiss to leave out their cigar cart. Here, a catador (cigar sommelier) will bring up a selection of impossible-to-find offerings, as well as custom cheroots crafted by a master torcedor exclusively for Aria.

Ready to book? Sky Suites start at $1,100 mid-week and $2,000 on weekends and Sky Villas are normally bookable by invitation.

The Palms hotel is due to reopen in Spring this year.

The incoming new owner has announced the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas is expected to reopen in spring 2022. The Nevada Gaming Commission has approved the San Manual Gaming and Hospitality Authority, an arm of the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians, as a licensee.
San Manuel announced in May it would purchase the Palms from Station Casinos for $650 million in cash. The resort has been closed since March 2020, when COVID-19 prompted the shutdown of all gaming in Nevada.

The Sphere is looking really good with lots of work ongoing the past few months, it's really ramped up.

The inside of The Sphere and it's predicted layout for the venue.

It's hard to get a sense of scale on just how big this building is until you see the people working on it!

A California tribe is poised to make gaming history later this month after the Nevada Gaming Control Board voted unanimously last week to recommend approval for its purchase of a Las Vegas resort.
If the state’s gaming commission green lights the sale of the Palms Casino Resort on Dec. 16, the San Manuel Band of Indians would become the first tribe to own and operate a resort in the heart of the U.S. gaming industry.

Another MGM on the south end of the strip?

Another resort on the Las Vegas Strip could be in the works for MGM Resorts. The south end of the Strip could get another resort-casino courtesy of MGM Resorts International, which is also working on a strategy to attract more of its regional customers to Las Vegas. MGM’s chief financial officer Jonathan Halkyard said the south end of the Strip, near Allegiant Stadium and T-Mobile Arena, is the new focus for tourists, CDC Gaming Reports writes. The gaming giant acquired the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas in September, as well, giving it domination of the southern end of the gaming corridor. Halyard’s comments and speculation came during Morgan Stanley’s Virtual Global Consumer & Retail Conference.
