Expo City Dubai will soon be home to a new mega mall
The Dubai Media Office recently tweeted that the mall is scheduled to officially open in 2024. This means we only have nine months to wait (in excitement). The Expo City Mall promises to have an extensive offering of over 190 shops; and food and beverage outlets. The mall will be based in the new Emaar South project.

Expo City Dubai will soon reveal plans for residential developments to become a “smart, sustainable, people-centric city of the future.” Developments include apartments, townhouses and villas. Residents will be given a “unique opportunity” to live in the heart of Expo 2020 Dubai’s “proud legacy city.” The city’s districts are car-free to improve safety and air quality.

    AL WASL PLAZA
(The beating heart of EXPO 2020 as well as the Expo City Dubai)

Although EXPO 2020 is over, the Al Wasl Plaza is still alive and kicking with its jaw dropping visual shows every night (except for Mondays and Tuesdays).
The projectors come alive in the evenings, with 4 shows per night, from Wednesday to Sunday. The first show starts at 6.15 pm, coinciding with the Magrib call to prayer, which is the Expo City Dubai’s way of transitioning the dome from its day mode to night mode. The last show is held at 11 pm.
Since there are no longer EXPO 2020 crowds, the dome interior has been converted to a casually relaxing lounging area with many benches, fountains and greenery to provide comfort while enjoying these free soothing shows.
I cannot recommend enough to all the Tourists as well as to those who visited EXPO 2020 already, as these shows never get old!

  9. Moving around Expo City has been made so easy and fast by these Expo Taxi’s. Making it easy to move from one pavilion to another and any destination whatsoever inside the Expo City. The drivers are very kind and friendly and are ready to answer any questions about the place. The taxi can hold up to 6 people incase you’re visiting in a group.

  10. Highly recommend visiting Expo City while in Dubai, its incredibly beautiful, several pavilions are open, Women’s pavilion being my favorite so far. Several cafe’s open for refreshments making your visit better. Less traffic than experienced during expo. The weather at the moment is perfect for a days visit.
    Charges are:
50 Aed to visit one pavilion
100 Aed to visit two pavilions
120 Aed to visit all pavilions
