Museum #4 on Saadiyat is a Natural History Museum. It's at the place where the Zaha Hadid Performing Arts Centre was supposed to be. Quite a shame as the Performing Arts Centre looked amazing.
Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed met with globally renowned architect Frank Gehry and senior leadership from DCT Abu Dhabi and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation and visited the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi museum site on Saadiyat Island.
What we know about the world's largest Guggenheim Museum so far:
1. The landmark project is being developed on Saadiyat Island by DCT Abu Dhabi in collaboration with the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation.
2. It seems that the new opening date for the museum is 2025, and will rise with the new cultural district of the city, which also hosts or will host works by Jean Nouvel, Norman Foster, Zaha Hadid, and Tadao Ando.
3. At 42,000-square meters, the museum will become the largest of the four Guggenheim outposts, overtaking Guggenheim Bilbao that Gehry also designed.
Latest satellite images show that the place where the TDIC office was, has now been cleared. While it's a little blurry, it's probably where the two additional museums which they confirmed last month will come.
Funnily enough, while articles seemed to suggest that two completely new museums were to come up, Google Maps now has a listing for 'Performing Arts Centre' at that exact spot. Seems like the old plans are coming to fruition.
Latest site photos of the Abrahamic Family House, comprising a mosque, a church and a synagogue:
The Guggenheim Abu Dhabi construction site as of today. Still in its early stages, but lots of movement on the site:
The tower cranes visible in the area are the ones used to hoist up and stabilize the steel sections while being assembled to be the superstructure or the defining shape of the upcoming unique museum.
Visible progress on The Zayed National Museum since it stalled for some time. Vehicles going in and out and construction noise all over.
Speculating that this is the entrance to the museum. If you check the concept art, the shape of the arc resembles the shape of the red structure. Can anyone provide technical insight on what the huge triangle-shaped crane to the right is about or for?

Abu Dhabi to develop two more new museums on Saadiyat Island, but no info on what they will be

Al Mubarak revealed very little about the developments. However, he confirmed that both institutions are under construction, and that they are different from the two museums originally planned for Saadiyat Island.
