Another iconic building for the Dubai skyline.

Since 2017, Legacy Entertainment and the UDC, developer of Doha's iconic 'The Pearl', have collaborated on multiple projects, including this exploratory exercise on how one particular island parcel might be developed as a 5-Star luxury resort.

Kingsland is an ambitious waterfront integrated resort project proposed for Qingdao, China, and designed by Legacy Entertainment. Its signature feature is a set of elaborately themed resorts, representing oppulant palaces from different regions of the world. Residential and University components are also proposed for the site.

The 21st version of the hotel, called Hôtel de Glace, is located at the Village Vacances Valcartier in Quebec. Its theme for 2021 is 'Quebec tales and legends' and there is also a suite that is dedicated to ice hockey. The hotel spans 30,000 square feet and 15,000 tons of snow has been used to create the incredible building

Its theme for 2021 is 'Quebec tales and legends'. Hotel de Glace describes the interior as a 'journey to a surreal world' where 'snow and ice sculptures are larger than nature and allow you to experience extraordinary optical effects and illusions'.

Construction on the hotel, which this year spans 30,000 square feet, began in December, with it taking 50 workers around six weeks to build. Snow is the base material for the building, with this year's version of the hotel using 15,000 tons of the white stuff, created by snow cannons.

The new Swan Reserve Hotel at Walt Disney World has most of the external work now completed on the rooms but still some way to go before opening.

Great Wolf Lodge forges ahead with plans to add water park resorts in U.S.

Original plans for the Maryland resort called for a 500-room resort with a 1,000-person conference center, a sprawling indoor and outdoor water park, restaurants and entertainment venues. The development would transform what today is a barren field just off Interstate 95 into a bustling vacation hub.

The resort, which is located 43 miles from Baltimore and 63 miles from Philadelphia, is slated to break ground in the second quarter of this year and open in 2023.

Operating under the Great Wolf Lodge brand, the property will have 500 hotel rooms with a 1,000-person conference center, restaurants and entertainment venues amid the waterparks and play areas.

Further land reclamation has extended suburban Jinshan District’s shoreline in support of its goal to be a world-class coastal resort. The district recently reclaimed 3.08 square kilometers of land from the sea to make room for a 2.2 billion yuan (US$340 million) project that will feature natural wetlands as well as entertainment, business and accommodation facilities.

During the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-2025), construction will start on themed parks, art centers, high-end residences and resort hotels. Next, the focus will be on wetlands, food fairs, health-care centers, film bases, and yacht and outdoor clubs, he said.

Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Riviera Maya will give fans of “SpongeBob SquarePants,” “Dora the Explorer,” “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,” and “PAW Patrol” the ultimate family beach escape when the resort opens in June 2021.

Mexico’s first Nickelodeon Resort will provide a premium vacation experience themed to Nickelodeon’s worlds along with one of the largest water attractions in Mexico and all oceanfront swim-up suites that can accommodate families of five.

Gaylord Palms in Kissemmee, Florida is due to open their new River Rapids Expansion in March.

Along with the Crystal River Rapids attraction, guests will see a number of other new outdoor features including a refreshment area, spa, private cabanas, day beds and premium pool seating. The resort is also opening Mangrove Lawn, a new 12,000 square foot event lawn located right outside the Convention Center. Officials said the area will connect to both the South Beach Pool and Crystal River Rapids for groups looking to buyout both areas.

The new attraction is all part of a $158 million expansion for the resort, the largest construction project ever in its 19-year history. Officials said the expansion, which should be completed this year, will add an additional 302 rooms and 96,000 square feet of meeting space.
