Changes are coming to the The Venetian and The Palazzo.

Built in 1999, the Venetian Las Vegas isn’t one of Sin City’s oldest resorts, by any means--though it certainly is one of the biggest, as it boasts 36 stories and is more than 475 feet. It also houses the world’s second-largest hotel, with 4,049 rooms, 3,068 suites, and a 120,000-square-foot casino.

So yeah, it’s pretty big. But now that the Apollo Global Management (APO) has purchased the hotel, as well as its sister hotel The Palazzo (the largest building in Nevada) and the Sands Expo center from its former owner, the late casino magnate Sheldon Adelson, it’s going to get even bigger.
The renovations will be overseen by the Los Angeles-based design collective RIOS. The Venetian was launched with a theme based on Venice, Italy, featuring architectural replicas of landmarks such as the Palazzo Ducale, Piazza San Marco, and the Rialto Bridge, and Nichols has stressed that the vibe won’t be lost in the upgrade.

The Wild Wild West Gambling Hall & Hotel, located on Tropicana Avenue less than a mile west of the Strip, closed its doors last week with only three days’ notice after operating since 1974, originally as the King 8.

Owner Station Casinos has announced plans to raze the casino and attached 260-room motel to make way for an upscale resort, though no timetable for the new project was revealed.

Lake Las Vegas is a resort community centered on its namesake artificial lake, with an inflatable waterpark, flyboarding, and boating. Luxury hotels dot the area, and bistros with lake views cluster in a charming, Italian-style village complex.

Lake Las Vegas is set on a luxurious lake located 25 minutes east of the Las Vegas Strip. This 320-acre man-made lake is the centerpiece of the Lake Las Vegas high-end residential resort community. Hiking trails lead into rugged desert hills nearby.

Reflection Bay Golf Club has a palm-lined, waterside course was built in 1998 and was designed by 18 time Major winner Jack Nicklaus. The course is designated as a prestigious Jack Nicklaus Signature Design. Reflection Bay golf course was host to the Wendy’s 3Tour Challenge from 1998 to 2007, showcasing the talents of such champions as Bubba Watson, Fred Couples, John Daly and Phil Mickelson.

Across is the lake is South Shore Country Club which is the first private Jack Nicklaus Signature Course in Nevada, an inspiration that reaches the tops of ridges before falling away down rugged canyons to the sparkling lake below. Rising from the shoreline of Nevada’s largest privately-owned lake to the desert hills, the 6,925-yard championship course draws upon the area’s unique topography to provide a one-of-a-kind golfing experience.
