I agree, concept art is really just to give a feel rather than specification for what will be delivered.

Those to me look like giant frogs (note the extended legs/feet) and are to fit with the animal theming for the whole resort. I believe that space is just meant to feel like you're underwater and you would have to wait for the actual design to come out to see what it actually turned out to be.

This piece of concept art really caught my eye!

The social media advantage and the shear jaw dropping idea of this is incredible! Although what I think I can see are people sun bathing or swimming above in this image, this is really strange can someone please help me out?

  3. Cirque du Soleil, as part of their joint venture with Legacy Entertainment, developed a number of hotel "WOW Feature" concepts for a well-known resort operator. Like The Bellagio Conservatory, these free public spaces would be strategically placed to draw visitors into properties, providing visitors with a larger-than-life experience designed specifically to enhance the operator's social media footprint. In these Las Vegas concept art images, an elemental theme of Water, Earth, Air, and Fire are used as a thematic thread.

  4. The Circa sign has gone up on the new resort in Las Vegas as construction continues. The resort is taking reservations starting December 28, 2020.

Looks like the Circa Resort will open earlier than scheduled and is already taking reservations.

Previously slated for a December 2020 launch, the 1.25 million-square-foot integrated casino-resort will open with its first five floors of amenities and state-of-the-art parking hub – Garage Mahal – ahead of schedule. Upon completion, the resort will have approximately 1,000 employees.
To achieve this timeline, Stevens reallocated construction resources from Circa's hotel tower to the first five floors. Slated for completion at the end of 2020, the tower will house Circa's 777 rooms and suites starting on the eighth floor; room reservations will go live June 24. Guests looking to visit prior to the tower opening can reserve rooms at the D Las Vegas or Golden Gate Hotel & Casino, also owned by Stevens, and enjoy access to Circa's pool in addition to its public amenities.
I also found their media kit which has lots of photos of construction including these ones of the topping off which I hadn't seen before.

  6. There is a rumour that MGM Resorts may be looking into demolishing the Luxor.

Our sources say company officials have discussed demolition of both Luxor and Excalibur for at least five years, but have been unable to proceed due to union contracts. It’s possible the COVID-19 shutdown has paved the way for what’s to come for Luxor.
Roeben went on to say that Las Vegas has pivoted away from themed resorts in recent years. MGM has already transformed Monte Carlo into Park MGM, and largely done away with the “Wizard of Oz” theme at MGM Grand.

Another Strip resort to fold on its original theme includes Treasure Island. Now known as TI, the casino no longer inundates guests with themes of the treasured adventure novel, and it canned its free nightly show “Sirens of TI” in 2013.

Though MGM has invested in renovations to the Egyptian-themed casino, including a $300 million project in 2007 to remodel 80 percent of the resort’s public areas to focus more on adults, the building’s design makes it nearly impossible to fully move away from its original motif.
