Expo 2020 was brilliant, but very tiring especially on weekends. Best advice is to go on a weekday as soon as gates open. Took photos of some of the pavilions, but most of them only from the outside as queues were very long especially for the more popular pavilions.

Oman’s Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai received about 111,706 visitors over a period of nine days, state news agency ONA reported.
Over 12,400 people visited the pavilion daily, a figure considered "an excellent indicator" during the first week of the mega event, Khalid Salim Al-Zuhaimi, Director of Oman’s Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, said.

  4. Emirates Airline has given visitors a sneak peek of what to expect from its futuristic pavilion. Located in the Opportunity District of Expo 2020 Dubai, the Emirates Pavilion is in walking distance of Al Wasl Plaza, the main staging area and where the glittering opening ceremony will take place, and close to Rove Expo 2020, the only hotel at "the world's greatest show".

The towering facade of the Emirates Pavilion has been inspired by the shape of an aircraft’s wings taking flight. It is constructed from 24 aluminium cladded fins that curve around two sides of the structure, and is illuminated by an exterior 800-metre LED system. Emirates has designed its pavilion to offer people a glimpse into the future of commercial aviation.

Set over two levels, there's space for up to 120 aviation enthusiasts at any one time in the pavilion, which is filled with interactive multisensory installations, virtual reality experiences and even some working robots.

Expo 2020 Dubai saw a strong visitor turnout, despite the high temperature, with a total of 411,768 ticketed visits in the first ten days since the world's greatest show opened on October 1, organisers revealed on Monday. The figures include all physical ticket holders but exclude participants, exhibitors and delegations. One in three visitors were tourists from abroad -- with visitors from 175 countries.

Sharing details about the visitor statistics at a press briefing held on Monday morning, officials said in the first 10 days alone, one in five visitors have visited more than once.

  6. Managed by Acción Cultural Española (AC / E), the pavilion has an area of about 5,800 m2 stacked with a series of colorful conical volumes partially covered with ultralight and flexible photovoltaic panels designed by the Spanish company The South Oracle (TSO). The international architecture firm External Reference and Onionlab, a multidisciplinary studio that produces audiovisual installations and exhibitions, have designed the exhibition spaces: "The forest of intelligence" on the lower floor, is a 3D printed artificial forest capable of producing oxygen and an interactive tree that reacts to the sustainable habits of the public. A mix of design, art and technology to create a unique immersive experience in which the richness of the Spanish heritage, science, biodiversity, innovations in sustainability and the circular economy are highlighted.

Under the motto of 'Intelligence for life', the Spanish Pavilion at the 2020 Expo in Dubai seeks to synthesize "our ingenuity, our creativity and our innovative capacity as essential tools to preserve life and biological diversity as well as to build a sustainable future". The architectural project entrusted to the studio Amann-Cánovas-Maruri is located in the "Sustainability" thematic area, close to what will undoubtedly be one of the largest meeting points: Al Wasl Square and the UAE Pavilion designed by Santiago Calatrava.

The Finnish Pavilion for Expo 2020 Dubai showcases the country's deep connection with nature and sustainability, contributing to its high quality of life. Titled "Snow Cape", the pavilion designed by JKMM Architects subtly evokes Finnish natural settings through materiality and atmosphere while embodying the principles of circular economy championed by the Nordic country. The structure with its tent-like entrance creates a point of commonality, reminding of Finland's nomadic heritage, as well as the Arabic text.

The circular economy imperatives have informed the construction of the pavilion, for which the majority of the materials were sourced locally, thus reducing the environmental impact of transportation. Moreover, the design took into consideration the structure's life after the Expo, with the project set to remain in place for an additional five years, after which it will be dismantled and its materials recycled or reused.

The Indian Pavillion looks just like an office building but it will remain in use after the expo.

The India Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai is all set to display the emergence of a New India to the world, officials said as they unveiled the pavilion during the first media tour on Wednesday.
Being a legacy building, that will remain a permanent structure, he said the India Pavilion will ultimately be used by the expat community with some elements of business, culture, innovation and start ups.
