The Expo 2030 Riyadh project in Saudi Arabia is progressing across its large-scale development site, covering approximately six million square metres and expected to host more than 42 million visits when it opens in 2030. The event is planned as a major global exposition, bringing together nearly 200 participating countries and organisations.
Recent industry reporting indicates that new infrastructure and utilities contracts have been awarded as construction advances. The development is being delivered through multiple phases, including the installation of core systems such as road networks, utilities, and smart mobility infrastructure to support future construction and operations.
The project also aligns with Saudi Arabia’s broader tourism and hospitality expansion strategy, which includes plans to increase accommodation capacity and introduce new tourism experiences ahead of 2030. Current development progress reflects continued execution across infrastructure, design, and construction packages in line with the overall project timeline.
