OSAKA – South Korea has become the first foreign country to submit a basic plan for building its own pavilion at the 2025 Osaka Expo, a source familiar with the matter said Saturday, amid concerns about the slow progress being made on pavilions by foreign nations.

It is expected some 50 countries will build their own pavilions for the expo, but the city of Osaka had not received a basic design plan from any participating country, a requirement before seeking construction permission, until it received South Korea's on Friday. The ability of participating countries to design and build their own pavilions is supposed to be one of the event's key attractions, but a shortage of construction workers and the prospect of various unique designs and installations have made domestic construction companies reluctant to sign contracts.
Under the current plan, participating countries are supposed to complete the bulk of the construction for their Type A pavilions by July 2024, finalize work on their interiors by January next year and have their planned exhibits completed later in March. The expo begins on April 13, 2025, but concerns are growing that the pavilions for overseas participants may not be built in time for the opening.

The Netherlands has as of late declared its cooperation in Expo 2025 in Osaka, Kansai, Japan, and the plan for the Netherlands Structure has been unveiled. What separates this structure is its special and completely round idea, alongside the consideration of an anthropogenic sun. Guests to the structure, whether people or delegates of organizations, legislatures, and information foundations, will have the potential chance to find noteworthy advances that tackle the force of water, making environmentally friendly power more available to everybody. The Netherlands Structure exhibits the creative arrangements that the Netherlands brings to the table in handling worldwide difficulties connected with energy change.

FLYING CARS ARE CURRENTLY BEING DEVELOPED BY JAPAN'S PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SECTORS FOR INTRODUCTION AT THE OSAKA-KANSAI EXPO IN 2025

TOKYO >> Japan’s transport ministry has released an outline of the operational and safety systems for flying cars being developed in the country, covering the establishment of a pilot licensing system and the introduction of black boxes to record flight data.
Japan’s government will establish a new pilot’s license for flying cars, equivalent to an automobile license, as well as a license for mechanics who fix the cars.

The cars will be equipped with transmitters that allow them to be regularly tracked, and the design of vertiports — takeoff and landing sites — also are being developed.
The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition has begun accepting applications from private companies interested in operating flying-car services between Kansai Airport and the expo’s venue. Flying cars are one of the highlights of the event.

SkyDrive launched a project to develop a flying vehicle in 2018 and has conducted demonstration experiments and analyses as well as manned flying experiments.

Its latest prototype is a single-seated vehicle 2 meters high and 4 meters in width and length. The flying vehicle is equipped with eight electric propellers and can fly at a maximum speed of 40 to 50 kph for 5 to 10 minutes at a time. Before such flying cars are put to work at the Expo, legislation still has to be passed allowing their use, city officials said.
