Another milestone in innovation at NEOM’s Design and Construction sector!
We’re thrilled to showcase HIPER Pile at the Innovation Hub – a ground breaking pile foundation solution developed through collaboration between City University and Keltbray in the UK. HIPER stands for Hollow Impression Enhanced Pre-cast, Energy storage and generation, and Re-use.

This award-winning solution was implemented as a proof-of-concept designed specifically for THE LINE project. The 1.2m diameter precast concrete piles were manufactured and shipped in 10m segments, then bolted and installed onsite to form 50m deep piles, tested to 50MN compression loading. The setup included 14 reaction piles supporting an impressive test frame to generate the significant compression load.

Welcome to the JUNGLE of Piling RIGS, where you will find giant Piling RIGS from Different manufacturers. This is why the NEOM-The Line project is the world's largest project. With these rigs, we can easily drill more than 90m depth and a diameter of 2500mm piles, which we are doing smoothly with our strategic plan, Proper Planning, and the Experienced Team & making the project to a reality.

During an exclusive first-ever media tour of Saudi Arabia’s THE LINE, Al Arabiya English witnessed the massive construction of this groundbreaking urban project at the heart of NEOM.

Speaking to Al Arabiya English, COO Giles Pendleton dismissed speculation of a scale-back, affirming that THE LINE will be delivered in planned phases.

A huge thank you to my good friend HRH Prince Fahad M AlSaud for leading such a high-quality delegation of Saudi founders and investors to NEOM. Connecting NEOM with the best Saudi startups, technologies, and investors is a top priority as we build the innovation economy here, and this visit was an important step in that journey.

To truly collaborate, these founders need to see what we’re building, how we’re building it, and the problems we’re solving. That’s why we wanted to bring 30 key players from the Saudi startup ecosystem for a tour of NEOM’s sites and discussions with leaders across various Sectors & Regions.

From witnessing the latest groundbreaking (literally) progress at The Line, observing the fast-growing biodiversity at Menifa Nature Reserve, and exploring the impressive Bajdah Desert Studios, the visit showcased the many opportunities for entrepreneurs to help us combine innovation with sustainability.

It's another beautiful day at the NEOM site. The new piling area is getting ready. Very soon, we will start the 90m depth and 2500 mm diameter of piles. The site preparation is underway and almost done.

At this area at the NEOM Project, we are Lifting a 30m cage weight of 24 tons is not an easy job when so much equipment & people are roaming around the lifting area.

Massive amount of excavation and piling ongoing with the marina getting deeper and wider. 2025 gearing up to be another big year on the LINE .

Hickey was keen to stress that the Line should be thought of more like a framework for a city and not a building, likening it to planning Manhattan. Another main topic of discussion was how residents will actually live. The current thinking is not so much that everyone will live in the Line 24/7, but that Line locals will venture down to terra firma to enjoy the surrounding scenery, a bit like how Manhattan residents take a stroll in Central Park. Hickey further mentioned that it could take "100 years or whatever" to eventually fill the Line with 9 million people, so this is very much a long-term project.
