Belle Corp said it is in talks with potential operators for a planned integrated resort in Clark, Pampanga, after securing a provisional casino license for the project.
In a clarification filed with the Philippine Stock Exchange on Monday, the company said arrangements with a partner will be disclosed once finalized, adding that it is targeting an official launch within two to three years from the engagement of an operator. The development is planned within the Clark Special Economic Zone, approximately 80 kilometers north of Manila.
Belle Corp said it plans to invest at least $300 million in the integrated resort and expects to derive lease income and a share of gross gaming revenues once operations begin.

A report by Manila Standard cited Belle Corp president and chief executive Armin Antonio Raquel-Santos as saying the company is in talks with ‘three to four’ foreign casino operators, including Melco Resorts & Entertainment Corp..

The proposed project will occupy a five-hectare site in Clark and is expected to include both casino and hotel components. The development is intended to follow a co-licensing model, with the selected operator managing gaming operations while leasing the land.

MGM Osaka Corp, the operator behind Japan’s first approved integrated resort with a casino, has announced changes to its senior leadership as construction work on the JPY1.51 trillion ($9.66 billion) development continues to advance.

In a recent Orix Corporation filing, Nobuki Watanabe has been named MGM Osaka Corp’s representative director and chairman, beginning 1 May 2026. He succeeds Toyonori Takahashi, who has stepped down from the position and will now work as an advisor for Orix.
Japanese media outlet Sankei Shimbun reported that MGM Osaka Corp now has a five-member board.

Alongside Watanabe and Bowers, the board includes Bill Hornbuckle, chief executive and president of MGM Resorts International, Hidetake Takahashi, chief executive and director of Orix, and Shuuji Irie, senior managing executive officer at Orix.

The project remains the only integrated resort officially approved in Japan so far, placing MGM Osaka in a unique position within the country’s tightly controlled casino market. While large-scale physical resorts like MGM Osaka represent the future of land-based gaming, the digital space continues to expand in parallel, with players increasingly turning to the best mobile online casinos as convenient alternatives ahead of major brick-and-mortar developments coming online.
MGM Resorts has also outlined fresh financial commitments linked to the Japan development in its latest filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission.

The company said it expects to allocate between $200 million and $225 million towards the Osaka project during 2026, after already investing $140 million in the first quarter of the year.

MGM stated that its financing structure effectively leaves the group “prefunded for this year”, allowing construction work to continue without immediate funding pressure.

The filing further confirmed support arrangements tied to the project. MGM said it currently provides guarantees amounting to JPY12.65 billion ($81 million) covering 50 per cent of MGM Osaka’s obligations. The company also maintains an additional uncapped funding commitment if necessary for the completion and full opening of the integrated resort.

Wynn Weighs Delayed Opening of Its UAE Resort Due to Iran War
    Source: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2026-05-05/wynn-weighs-delayed-opening-of-its-uae-resort-due-to-iran-war

Wynn Resorts Ltd is said to be contemplating a delay to the opening date for its US$5.1 billion Wynn Al Marjan Island integrated resort project in the United Arab Emirates.

According to a report by Bloomberg, which cites sources familiar with the matter, the potential postponement is due to construction delays as a result of the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

That’s despite Wynn announcing in mid-March that it had resumed construction in Ras Al Khaimah following a brief pause. The company also revealed at the time that it was assessing the situation regarding construction materials awaiting delivery and exploring the possibility of sourcing via alternative ports.

Wynn is scheduled to host an earnings call on Thursday morning following release of its 1Q26 results.

The second phase of construction of the Primorye entertainment resort is entering the final stretch.
The second phase of the project to create a gambling and entertainment complex in Primorye is nearing completion. A 17-story hotel with mirrored facades has been built above the existing casino building.
"The completion of the second phase of the Shambala project takes Primorsky Krai to a new level. In the near future, the modern 17-story hotel complex will increase the region's room capacity by 280. This means the Primorye resort will be able to accommodate significantly more guests, and its comfortable accommodations will enhance the region's tourist appeal. We expect the expanded room capacity to drive the development of the entire resort and related services in the region. This is another step toward establishing a full-fledged, all-season, international-level resort here," said Yulia Yakush.

Kangwon Land announced that it will begin extensive renovations of the Grand Hotel and Mountain Condo next month. 757 rooms, representing over 40% of the total 1,827 rooms across the two complexes, will be newly refurbished. The project budget is 200 billion won, making it the largest scale since the company's founding in 1998.
This renovation is part of the K-HIT Project, a comprehensive development strategy aimed at becoming a global integrated resort with 13 million annual visitors and 3.5 trillion won in revenue by 2035.
The project centers on three main pillars: the Grand Core Zone, which integrates world-class entertainment facilities; the Eco-friendly Wellness Zone; and the Leisure Sports Park. The Grand Core Zone will feature a Media Dome Arena centered around a large-scale dome-shaped entertainment space, three newly constructed hotel buildings, and a new Grand Casino. The Wellness Zone will consist of luxury villas equipped with hot springs and an outdoor garden spa. The Leisure Sports Park will operate seven types of forest-based activities, including a zip coaster, forest adventure, eco-rider, aerial net, observation deck, forest campsite, and forest healing center.

Kangwon Land, the only casino operator in South Korea that is open to local residents, announced a major renovation project for its members-only gaming area as an important step in upgrading facilities and advancing its international integrated resort positioning.

According to the company's announcement, the renovation project commenced on March 20, 2026, and is expected to last until April 13, 2027, with the actual progress depending on the on-site construction situation. The project will comprehensively upgrade the design and functionality of the members' area, including reshaping the rest space, adding private gaming rooms, and creating a more upscale reception and service area, with the overall style shifting towards a more modern and sophisticated aesthetic.
In recent years, the company has actively promoted business transformation, gradually shifting from a focus on the local market to a development direction that aligns with international integrated resort standards. This renovation project is also seen as an extension of this strategy, aiming to enhance the overall brand image through hardware upgrades and service optimization.

Bally’s is rolling the dice on The Bronx after shelling out nearly $157 million for a slice of waterfront parkland where it plans to build a massive casino resort.
The deal, which went into contract in November and closed Feb. 13, gives the company control of land currently used for the golf course clubhouse and parking areas, along with nearby roadways that will serve as the main approach to the future complex, Crains first reported.
The planned resort would feature a roughly 500,000-square-foot casino, a 500-room hotel and a 2,000-seat arena-style entertainment venue, all housed in a sweeping structure overlooking the East River beside the park’s existing 18-hole golf course.

MGM Resorts is positioning its Osaka integrated resort as a flagship project in the global gaming industry, with executives describing it as a potential landmark comparable to Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands.

Speaking at the JP Morgan Forum: Strategic Growth and Innovation, MGM’s CFO Jonathan Halkyard said the company plans to commit approximately $450 million in equity to the project in 2026, reflecting strong confidence in Japan’s emerging casino market.

For CEO Bill Hornbuckle, the Osaka resort is strategically and personally significant. He described it as a world-class undertaking capable of generating substantial cash flow. Drawing comparisons with MGM’s Singapore operations, Hornbuckle noted that if Osaka reaches around $2 billion in annual cash flow, MGM’s share could translate to roughly $800 million, with the potential for even higher returns over time.

ChinaBank says several interested parties but no rush to sell site of stalled Emerald Bay IR in Cebu
The Chairman of China Banking Corp says the bank has received several offers for purchase of the site of the stalled Emerald Bay integrated resort development in Cebu but will hold firm until an offer reaches expectations.

In an interview with local media outlet GMA Network, Hans Sy explained that Chinabank – which took control of the site in October 2023 via a refinancing deal with PH Resorts Group subsidiary Lapulapu Leisure Inc (LLI) – was in no rush to sell the site but was confident that negotiations with interested parties would lead to a positive result.

“I know our value will go up, so I said no need to rush,” Sy told GMA Network. “There are offers, we’ll negotiate, we get a price that we find that is good, then we sell.”

This is UNICO 18°77°, and from what I understand, the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino is being built directly to the east of it. So my question is: will the second building of UNICO actually be the Hard Rock, or am I missing something?

Architectural plans reveal more details about MGM’s Osaka IR development
Japan’s first integrated resort development, MGM Osaka, will feature a 27-story tower as its centerpiece attraction plus a casino covering 23,293 square meters and featuring around about 470 gaming tables games and 6,400 electronic gaming machines, according to details contained in an architectural document.

The document, obtained by locals news outlet The Yomiuri Shimbun with information published across its Japanese and English-language channels, provides more color to details already released by the MGM-ORIX consortium that is developing the near US$10 billion IR on Osaka’s Yumeshima Island.

The 27-story, 126-meter-high main building – which also includes one basement level – will, according to the report, form an arc “reminiscent of the Bellagio” in Las Vegas and contain two hotels with a combined 1,840 rooms.

Another section covering 16.7 hectares and standing four stories or 27 meters high will feature the property’s main MICE facilities plus parking.

A third “resort hotel” featuring 660 rooms will stand 56 meters high and boast 13 above-ground floors and one basement level, the report adds. It will also include studios where visitors can try activities such as a tea ceremony.
