They are officially moving ahead with Phase 2 of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tejon project.

Hard Rock Casino Tejon is going vertical.

Not even a year after the casino’s initial phase opened between Interstate 5 and Highway 99 in Mettler, construction is planned to begin next month on an ambitious second phase that will include an 11-story, 400-room hotel.

Also planned for the casino’s second phase is a convention center and events venue previously reported to contain 2,800 seats, along with new food and beverage options, resort amenities and expanded gaming.

Seems like all construction has been stopped with no explanation and casino staff is now saying end of 2028 for the hotel. Ground has not been broken yet and the road construction for the simple street entrance from the 166 has been inexplicably stalled now for around 4 months. That plus a perceived "tightening" of the machines is sending a message that something is wrong, possibly financially. The lack of any true update just perpetuates this.

Phase II at Hard Rock Tejon will bring a 400-room hotel and a 2,700-seat Hard Rock Live venue for concerts and events. There will also be more dining options, along with a pool and spa to round out the experience.
