For $1.08 billion, Hard Rock International acquired The Mirage in Las Vegas in December 2021. The Mirage will remain open until 2023 until Hard Rock closes it in 2024 to rename, enlarge, remodel, and construct a guitar-shaped hotel tower along the Las Vegas Strip. The official opening is scheduled for late 2025 or early 2026.

The 3,044-room resort will continue to run as the Mirage with little modifications up until the renovations and rebranding of the establishment to the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas are finished over the course of the following 18 to 24 months

No action is necessary on the part of visitors or group organisers for any accommodation reservations or group bookings to be fulfilled. Current MGM Rewards holders will immediately be moved to a comparable level of the Unity by Hard Rock player loyalty program. At affiliated Hard Rock locations across the world, points may be accrued and redeemed.

A guitar-shaped room tower will eventually replace it, but the iconic volcano in front of the Mirage on the Las Vegas Strip is getting a bit of a reprieve. To the delight of its fans, it will continue to erupt nightly for most of 2023 as Hard Rock International completes its ambitious plan to remodel the resort.

New Hard Rock hotel is slated to open in 2025... construction to begin at the end of this year.

The firm has confirmed the launch date for the rebranded Mirage Hotel & Casino after MGM Resorts. US.- Hard Rock International has confirmed that the rebranded Mirage Hotel & Casino will open in 2025. It reached an agreement to buy the resort from MGM Resorts for $1.07bn in December.

Hard Rock International, the legendary hospitality and entertainment company, today announced its agreement to acquire the operations of The Mirage Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas from MGM Resorts International, subject to regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions. Through the acquisition, Hard Rock plans to build an iconic Guitar-shaped Hotel which will be located on the famous Las Vegas Strip.

HRI will pay $1.075 billion in cash for the operating assets of The Mirage Hotel and Casino, subject to customary working capital adjustments. The iconic hospitality and entertainment brand will enter into a long-term lease agreement with VICI Properties Inc. for the real estate property of The Mirage.

Hard Rock International has agreed to buy the operations of the Mirage casino on the Las Vegas Strip from MGM Resorts International MGM -2.58% for nearly $1.1 billion with plans to build a giant guitar-shaped hotel on the glitzy boulevard.

The deal with Hard Rock, owned by the Seminole Tribe of Florida, is the latest of several financial transactions on the Strip, which was hit hard during the pandemic closures but has seen a tourism rebound. The sale of the Mirage operations is expected to close in the second half of 2022, pending regulatory approvals.
