Hard Rock International is closer to the construction of a guitar-shaped hotel tower on the Las Vegas Strip.

Hard Rock International's proposed guitar-shaped hotel tower to be developed at The Mirage,*has moved yet another step forward. The*Clark County Zoning Commission, approved on August 16 a step that gives a green light for construction development.
Hard Rock's plans for the resort, which it now operates since a deal was struck last year, call for*a 600-room, 660-foot-tall project along Las Vegas Boulevard.**According to planning documents, the future guitar-shaped hotel will feature*49,000 square feet of gaming area and 96,000 square feet of retail and restaurants. The resort will also feature a pool, spa, fitness center, and salon.

Clark County Commissioners have given the ‘green light’ to construct a new building in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip, allowing for a guitar-shaped tower where The Mirage is located today, which will do away with the iconic volcanic attraction. The County Commission on Wednesday, March 22, unanimously approved the plans of the operator Hard Rock, which presented a project of 600 rooms and 200 meters high on Las Vegas Boulevard.

The iconic guitar-shaped Hard Rock Hotel that may change the face of the Las Vegas Strip could be one step closer to reality. Workers will be drilling in six different locations at the Mirage Resort this week to determine where exactly to construct the iconic Hard Rock Guitar.

Those in the area may hear some noise and even feel some vibrations as soon as the drilling starts, though hotel officials say it's not expected to impact any guest rooms within the hotel or nearby.
Though the drilling was set to begin on Monday, hotel officials tell us drilling will officially begin on Tuesday, due to some clearance issues. The work is expected to last from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for 10 weekdays, but the work will pause over the weekends.

For $1.08 billion, Hard Rock International acquired The Mirage in Las Vegas in December 2021. The Mirage will remain open until 2023 until Hard Rock closes it in 2024 to rename, enlarge, remodel, and construct a guitar-shaped hotel tower along the Las Vegas Strip. The official opening is scheduled for late 2025 or early 2026.

The 3,044-room resort will continue to run as the Mirage with little modifications up until the renovations and rebranding of the establishment to the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas are finished over the course of the following 18 to 24 months

No action is necessary on the part of visitors or group organisers for any accommodation reservations or group bookings to be fulfilled. Current MGM Rewards holders will immediately be moved to a comparable level of the Unity by Hard Rock player loyalty program. A guitar-shaped room tower will eventually replace it, but the iconic volcano in front of the Mirage on the Las Vegas Strip is getting a bit of a reprieve. To the delight of its fans, it will continue to erupt nightly for most of 2023 as Hard Rock International completes its ambitious plan to remodel the resort.

New Hard Rock hotel is slated to open in 2025... construction to begin at the end of this year.

The firm has confirmed the launch date for the rebranded Mirage Hotel & Casino after MGM Resorts. US.- Hard Rock International has confirmed that the rebranded Mirage Hotel & Casino will open in 2025. It reached an agreement to buy the resort from MGM Resorts for $1.07bn in December.
