Europe’s largest urban regeneration project, The Ellinikon, located in Athens, has reached a significant construction milestone this month.

Riviera Tower, Greece’s tallest building and first skyscraper, has reached the halfway point of construction. Meaning that 25 floors are now completed, and the building stands at an impressive 113 metres high, halfway toward its final height of 200 metres. Completion is expected Q1 2026, as part of Phase 1 of the wider development.

Stretching across 3.5 km of the Athenian Riviera, The Ellinikon will be home to the world’s largest coastal park (2M+ sq.m.), a 310-berth superyacht marina, 8,000 new homes, three luxury hotels (including Mandarin Oriental), and Europe’s largest shopping mall.

The master plan was designed by the internationally acclaimed architectural firm, Foster + Partners, the experts behind King Salman International Airport in Riyadh, Al Sa’ad Plaza Towers in Qatar, and the Zayed National Museum in Abu Dhabi. Other global architecture and design partners include Bjarke Ingels Group, Kengo Kuma, and Sasaki.
