This spring, Southern California will welcome its newest and most expansive luxury resort. The Gaylord Pacific Resort & Convention Center is set to open on May 15, bringing a mix of seaside relaxation, top-tier accommodations, and expansive event spaces to the San Diego region.

Located just 10 miles from San Diego International Airport on 36 acres of waterfront property in Chula Vista, the $1.3-billion resort is the sixth addition to the Gaylord Hotels portfolio. This marks the brand’s first-ever West Coast location. Developed by RIDA Development, the property will be the largest hotel on the West Coast to date.

Perfect for families and guests of all ages, the resort’s 4.25-acre water park includes waterslides, a wave pool, a lazy river, multiple pools, and poolside cabanas and bars. In addition to the water park, the property will also include Relache Spa and Salon, a 7,500-sq.-ft. fitness center, bike rentals, and easy access to San Diego attractions, including the San Diego Zoo and Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center.
