The first three resorts at Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea will open later than orginally planned. It was announced in January that the first three hotels would open in May 2023. That date has now been moved closer to the end of the year.

The official line is Six Senses Southern Dunes from IHG will open in the “next few months,” while Nujuma, A Ritz-Carlton Reserve and St. Regis The Red Sea from Marriott have been moved further back. The change was confirmed by Abdullah AlZahrani, executive director – global brand development and marketing at Red Sea Global.

The latest luxury hotel planned for Saudi Arabia's growing The Red Sea development has been revealed. Four Seasons Resort will join the upscale hotels bound for the eco-tourism destination on the kingdom's west coast. It will be located on Shura Island, the main hub of The Red Sea megaproject, and have a marina, an 18-hole golf course and a marine discovery centre.

Created by Foster+Partners, the company designing the Red Sea's Grand Hyatt, Raffles and InterContinental hotels, the Four Seasons Resort will have 149 rooms and suites, all offering views of the island’s shoreline and surrounding Red Sea.

Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea Global (RSG) – the Public Investment Fund-owned (PIF) developer of The Red Sea and Amaala gigaprojects – has been awarded LEED Platinum for Turtle Bay’s villas and townhouses at The Red Sea.
Turtle Bay is a residential and commercial area for workers, employees and management of The Red Sea. LEED – or the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design – certification is awarded by the US Green Building Council.
