Rixos Jewel of The Creek, Dubai to be introduced in mid 2022.

Accor, a world leading hospitality group, will introduce many stunning new properties in the Middle East in 2022, including the new Raffles Doha and sister hotel Fairmont Doha, Banyan Tree AlUla in the Asher Valley of Saudi Arabia, and Fairmont La Marina Rabat-Salé.

The Group will also broaden its Rixos portfolio in Qatar and in the region overall with the upcoming Rixos Doha Qetaifan, Rixos Obhur Jeddah in Saudi Arabia and Rixos Jewel of the Creek in Dubai, UAE.

Designed to be the "Jewel" of the Jewel of the Creek development, the new Rixos luxury resort features an abundance of outdoor fun, with lavish pools, landscaping and fountains, and a waterfront promenade lined with boutiques, restaurants, bars, and an 80-berth marina.

Among the several ongoing projects of Rixos Hotels, set to be open in 2022, Rixos Doha Qetaifan already stands out in a top three of the Middle East’s most exciting openings.

Aimed at business, leisure and family travellers, this newbuild Rixos hotel is being created through a collaboration between Accor and Qetaifan Projects Company, a subsidiary of Katara Hospitality. It forms part of the Qetaifan Island North Project located off Lusail City, pairing a luxury resort environment with the historical, natural and cultural influences of Qatar. The property’s architecture is by Atkins – Dubai and the interiors are by Bluu UAE.

The five-star Rixos Doha Qetaifan will comprise 345 guestrooms and extensive amenities, including a souq, beach club, theme park and waterpark. Guests will also have access to The Icon Tower, soaring 82 m high. The hotel is expected to open in time for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, project design works are currently in progress.

The Rixos Obhur Jeddah will involve the upgrade and restyle of the current Makarem Annakheel Village, transforming it into luxury resort featuring a water park, swimming pools, as well as villas with private pools.

It will be the first luxurious integrated resort in Jeddah, meeting increasing demand for this type of destination offering in the city.

Saudi Arabia’s Emaar The Economic City (Emaar EC) has started planning and design work for the Rixos Emerald Shores resort looking out to the Red Sea coast.

The construction firm has signed a framework cooperation agreement with the Tourism Development Fund, FTG Development Company, Albilad Investment Company, and Ekofine Holding BV to establish a SAR1.8 billion (aprox. US$480 million) closed and private investment fund for the project. The fund will be used to develop and operate the five-star resort, as well as its luxury ‘underwater villas’. It’s also on track to have a water park, beach areas, kids clubs, gyms and more than 10 F&B outlets.

Slated for a 2023 opening, the 275,000sq m resort will be one of the largest tourism developments within the ambitious King Abdullah Economic City. The resort will include 500 keys, as well as 35 hotel villas with views of the Red Sea coast.

The desert megacity was announced in 2005 by the late King Abdullah. Masterplanned by Emaar EC, the city is an hour’s drive from Jeddah and is equal in size roughly to Washington, DC. Once complete, it will have a population equal to that of Brussels at about two million, and have a port, residential areas, and of course, hotels.

The Saudi-based Emaar, the Economic City (Emaar EC), has signed a framework cooperation agreement with the Kingdom’s Tourism Development Fund, FTG Development Company, Albilad Investment Company, and Ekofine, to set up a $479 million fund.

The Rixos Emerald Shores project is set to be one of the largest tourist resorts to be established in KAEC. It will be constructed on a total area of 275,000sqm along the Red Sea coast. It will feature 600 metres of beachfront and a golf course.

The resort is expected to be one of the largest leisure tourism destinations in Saudi Arabia, with a variety of facilities and hotel units. It includes more than 500 rooms and 35 luxury hotel villas built in a ‘distinctive and modern style’. The resort will provide an integrated water park, beaches, clubs for children, and gyms. In addition, there will be more than 10 varied options for dining, consisting of international restaurants and cafes, it concluded.
