  1. Sounds very strange to me that Genting would license its 'Resorts World' flagship brand to a third-party investor, particularly in Asia.

  2. Finally a view of the road side of the building, it has signage now for Galleries Lafayette and the boardwalk is open.

So to confirm - Genting is no longer a stakeholder in this property but they continue to use the "Resorts World" name so assume this was sold along with their stake in the business?

Leisure and hospitality company Genting Hong Kong Limited, which used to hold its interests in Treasure Island Entertainment Complex Limited, sold the interests in January 2021 to a company owned by local real estate businesswoman, Ao Mio Leong, for HK$750 million.

  5. The development is due to open its doors to the public on 1 October 2023, having delayed its previous launch date of December 2022. In a statement, Jones Lang LaSalle said that 80% of retail space in the Resorts World Macau mall has now been leased, reflecting retailers’ renewed confidence in the Macau consumer market.

The new YOHO Treasure Island Resorts World Hotel near Nam Vam Lake will initiate its soft opening this August, a source close to the project told Macau News Agency.
Covering an area of 8,100 square meters with a total construction cost of about MOP4.7 billion (US$583.8 million) the Treasure Island Resort World Hotel will have a total of 600 rooms and a building height of over 70 metres.

The Shopping area was due to open in December 2022, does anyone know if it has opened or what the most recent status is?

Treasure Island Resort World Hotel and Shopping Centre in Nam Vam Lake near Praca Ferreira Amaral will open in December, 2022.
The project’s shopping centre will include a fourth store by Parisian department store Galeries Lafayette to open in Greater China, with further details on the project’s offerings to be revealed by representatives from Bona Film Group and Forward Fashion (International) next week.

The upcoming Treasure Island Resort World Hotel and Shopping Centre in Nam Vam Lake near Praca Ferreira Amaral will not include a casino, following Chinese national policy hopes that Macau could diversify local tourism offerings away from gambling, Oliver Tong, general manager at JLL Macau told MNA after a signing ceremony held today (Monday).
Covering an area of 8,100 square meters with a total construction cost of about MOP4.7 billion (US$583.8 million) the Treasure Island Resort World Hotel will have a total of 600 rooms and a building height of over 70 metres.

In its last annual report before it was divested from the project Genting Hong Kong had expressed that it planned to develop a hotel and casino on the site

However, the JLL manager told MNA today that no gaming area will be open in the new project, adding that this is a new direction that many brands agree with.

“The national policies are not very supportive towards large-amount gambling,” Oliver said, “small-amount gambling is fine, however, the central government still hopes that Macau can develop a more diversified local tourism, promoting different aspects of Macau.”
According to the property’s developer, the hotel will have two different styles of guest rooms: one is fashioned in the US Treasure Island style, while the other is in the Singapore Resorts World style, while all rooms will enjoy either a scenic Macau and Taipa sea views or Nam Van Lake views.

Google Maps was updated at the end of last year but only part of the site was captured so there's a weird image now for the site, half built in 2021 and half not built from 2019. But it does give a good overview of the site locations and how much progress was made last year.

Another recent video at Nam Van Lake showing glimpses of the construction site. If you compare these screenshots with my last post, you'll notice the cranes moved positions which means construction is ongoing. I still can't find more recent articles on its specific opening date though or any updates at all.
