When it finishes in 2024, Gran Meliá Lombok will feature a YHI spa, a Yoshi Izakaya restaurant, a fitness centre, and a kids’ club, among others. Lombok’s prospects energise Brown, who attributes his entrepreneurial spirit to his great-grandfather who worked in Scotland’s Harris Tweed industry. With its rising middle class, Indonesia is well placed to provide the property, only the second Gran Meliá project in the country, a dependable fount of guests.

    Gran Melia Lombok

The Gran Melia Lombok is located a 30-minute drive west of Mandalika, on a stepped hillside overlooking the Indian Ocean. Also focusing on sustainability, the two projects complement each other perfectly as the southern coastline of the island looks to establish itself as Asia’s prime eco-tourism destination.

Gran Melia Lombok will be situated at the beautiful Torok Bay in the south of the island, surrounded by green hills and a beach with crystal-clear waters. The perfect destination to disconnect and enjoy a relaxed approach to life.

The hotel will boast 20++ luxury beachside villas and another 100++ villas on the mountainside, all with private infinity pools and stunning ocean views. Careful attention will be paid to the architectural design, utilising natural elements that represent the essence of the destination. The hotel will blend seamlessly with its natural environment, allowing guests to fully immerse themselves in paradise. An abundance of large windows will allow in plentiful natural light and help the property merge with its surroundings, while the elegant furniture and warm tones convey a sense of pure luxury.

Set for completion in late 2024, the Gran Melia Lombok is a high-end luxury destination featuring sustainable design and locally sourced materials. Comprising of 22 duplex bamboo villas on the beachfront and more than 100 one-, two- and three-bedroom villas located on a stepped hillside with panoramic views of the Indian Ocean and private swimming pools, it promises to firmly put the Indonesian island on the map when it comes to luxury living.

Sustainability is one of the pillars of Invest Islands and each of the 100+ units at Gran Melia Lombok will feature energy-saving features such as rainwater catchment tanks, greywater reuse systems, and solar roof panels. Our two-storey 700sqm Waves Beach Club and Restaurant will be constructed from locally sourced bamboo and recognise indigenous architecture.

Designed to the highest standards, the Gran Melia Lombok maximises the use of local materials and clean energy, while combining the island’s traditions with photogenic features able to create global exposure in a modern world.
