The gray spots through the trees in the above photos are concrete drainage pipes waiting to be installed. In photos today, taken by Orlando correspondent Jeremiah Good, they are still sitting in the same spot awaiting installation.

In the above photo, you can see that dirt had been moved around on the former River Country site next to the new Tri-Circle D Ranch, the long building to the left. The above photo was taken from Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Below is a photo of the same area taken from a boat on Bay Lake. You can see the stables through the trees and the mound of dirt looking about the same as it did in June, just with grass growing rather than the previously visible grass seed bed.

This morning, Walt Disney World Resort filed a new permit that is potentially related to the delayed Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge project.

The permit is specific to: Furnish and install pole mounted fixtures for temporary cast parking area. The address listed on the Disney World construction permit is 4400 Big Pine Road, the location of Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.

It is important to remember that The Walt Disney Company has not yet made any official announcements regarding the current status of Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge on Bay Lake.

Could Reflections be cancelled before it even really gets going?

According to various sources from the construction side of the project, delivery of material has been permanently cancelled, and the work that was done to begin the concrete pours has been removed and the land will likely be returned to its pre-construction state.

It should be noted that Disney is yet to make any official announcement of a cancellation.

New permits show the proposed layout for the resort.

A recent permit filing with the State of Florida has revealed the general outline of Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Resort, including bungalows, and the changes that will be coming to Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground.

We’ve outlined the buildings in green. The large building in the center will be the main building, which will hold over 900 guest rooms as well as Disney Vacation Club villas.

The smaller buildings signify bungalows that will be built on the shore of Bay Lake, offering beautiful lakeside views.

Disney's Reflections - A Disney Lakeside Lodge still has construction work taking place during the park closure.

When we saw permits filed earlier this month for work on a Table Service Restaurant, bus stop, transportation dock, and more at the site of Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge, it was still assumed that construction had been halted throughout Walt Disney World Resort––and it has, for the most part––but according to a new report from the Orlando Business Journal, one local construction firm continues chipping away at the upcoming nature-themed Disney Vacation Resort property in progress.

Reflections - A Disney Lakeside Resort will replace the original River Country waterpark site at Walt Disney World, Orlando and construction is already underway.
