    Wow Feature Design Company: Studio City Macau 'Titanic Lobby' by Legacy Entertainment

    Early in the Blue Sky Concept Design phase of Studio City Macau, one idea explored was a Titanic-themed central lobby.

    In addition to a grand lobby inspired by that of the famed vessel, this space also would have featured a 'dry-for-wet' sunken Titanic miniature set beneath a thin layer of water.

    Throughout this space, guests would also have been able to enjoy replica's of Titanic's bars and First Class Dining Room.

    Macau Casino Design / Water Park Design: Studio City Macau Lazy River

    Studio City Macau recently opened a brand new rooftop Water Park supplied by WhiteWater West.

    During the resort's planning stage, one option explored was that of a unique Lazy River attraction themed to the Monkey King. The concept was developed by Legacy Entertainment- the resort's overall design firm.

    Macau Casino Design / Macau Resort Design: Studio City Macau Design

    Legacy Entertainment's resort design and master plan for Studio City Macau features 3 main entrances to the resort, with each one sporting a different motif relating to the property's theme of cinema. One such entrance on the backside of the property, unofficially dubbed the "Adventure Gate", was inspired by exotic locales of epic adventure films. This entrance primarily caters to rides of the Macau Light Rail, and is also the nearest entrance to the Lotus Bridge which connects the Cotai Strip with Zhuhai / mainland China.

    Macau Resort Design: Studio City Macau Early Concept Art by Legacy Entertainment

    In honor of Studio City Macau's 5th anniversary, here is a look at some of Legacy Entertainment's earliest sketches of the iconic Cotai Strip property.

    Legacy's mandate was to execute the vision of Melco Chairman Lawrence Ho, realizing a "Gotham City-inspired" exterior design motif. While it has been noted in the press that Studio City's iconic Golden Reel ferris wheel was inspired by Mr. Ho's concept of an asteroid having penetrated the building, this is the first time this early artwork has ever been shown.

    'Aurora' is a unique indoor theme park concept designed for the Galaxy Macau resort by Legacy Entertainment (Galaxy Macau's original designer). The design goal was to expand the resort's visual design vocabulary, taking it beyond the Asian palace aesthetic established in 2011's Phase 1.

    Macau Resort Design: Studio City Macau FutureZone Retail Street

    Earlier Concept Design and Schematic Design iterations of Studio City Macau by Legacy Entertainment had a futuristic theme zone in the location currently occupied by the New York retail street and Times Square Hub. Legendary futurist Syd Mead collaborated with Legacy Entertainment on the design of this area.
