The owner of the new Four Seasons hotel in California’s Napa Valley is negotiating a sale that would represent one of the highest valued hotel transactions ever, signaling a demand for smaller luxury resorts even as the broader industry struggles.

A handful of hotel and real-estate investors have made competing offers of more than $170 million, according to hotel brokers. The Irvine, Calif.-based Sunstone Hotel Investors Inc. is among the bidders, say people familiar with the matter. That purchase price would translate into a valuation of more than $2 million a key, which would make it one of the most expensive hotel acquisitions in history.

Further land reclamation has extended suburban Jinshan District’s shoreline in support of its goal to be a world-class coastal resort. The district recently reclaimed 3.08 square kilometers of land from the sea to make room for a 2.2 billion yuan (US$340 million) project that will feature natural wetlands as well as entertainment, business and accommodation facilities.
During the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-2025), construction will start on themed parks, art centers, high-end residences and resort hotels. Next, the focus will be on wetlands, food fairs, health-care centers, film bases, and yacht and outdoor clubs, he said.

Gaylord Palms in Kissemmee, Florida is due to open their new River Rapids Expansion in March.

Along with the Crystal River Rapids attraction, guests will see a number of other new outdoor features including a refreshment area, spa, private cabanas, day beds and premium pool seating. The resort is also opening Mangrove Lawn, a new 12,000 square foot event lawn located right outside the Convention Center. Officials said the area will connect to both the South Beach Pool and Crystal River Rapids for groups looking to buyout both areas.

The new attraction is all part of a $158 million expansion for the resort, the largest construction project ever in its 19-year history. Officials said the expansion, which should be completed this year, will add an additional 302 rooms and 96,000 square feet of meeting space.

This news is about another Chinese owned developer that owns land in the same location but it also mentions that Ko Olina has "stalled".

The Chinese developer who acquired the Makaha Valley Country Club and hundreds of acres in the valley nine years ago has filed for bankruptcy protection. Pacific Links US Holdings and its affiliated companies filed for Chapter 11 reorganization on Feb. 1, listing debts of $50 million to $100 million.
Billions of dollars worth of Chinese developments have been put on hold in Hawaii during the past year. Construction of the nearby Atlantis Resort at Ko Olina is also stalled.

The Red Sea Development Company (TRSDC) has awarded contracts to a Saudi company and Swiss firm to support the development plans and structural work of its luxury hotels and resorts in Southern Dunes site and Ummahat Al-Shaykh Island.

The two companies will play pivotal roles in the construction of hotels across The Red Sea Project, where they will be responsible for civil and structural works across 40 hotel villas on the Southern Dunes site, and timber construction planning and fabrication as well as supply works for a hotel situated on Ummahat Al-Shaykh Island.
Upon completion in 2030, the destination will comprise 50 resorts, offering up to 8,000 hotel rooms and around 1,300 residential properties across 22 islands and six inland sites. The destination will also include luxury marinas, golf courses, entertainment, and leisure facilities.

What's On Just featured this article about what to expect when the museum opens but no further news on when we might expect any sort of progress...

The main gallery will be devoted to a collection of artifacts illuminating aspects of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan — the man, and his leadership journey the country’s unification, and beyond. Exhibits will include photographs, documents and items from the late ruler’s own private collection.
What better way to commemorate a man possessed of such wisdom and wide-learning than with a grand library? This particular educational attraction will offer a platform for visitors to deep-dive into historical resources. You’ll find creaking tomes, alongside cutting edge interactive media

It’s another picture-perfect day as the window frames have been delivered for The Ritz-Carlton Hotel at The Palmeraie. The installation process will begin shortly and pretty soon, future homeowners will be able to enjoy spectacular views of the iconic Camelback Mountain from the comfort of their home.

    Expected opening time: October 2021

The Ritz-Carlton, Jiuzhaigou is an all-villa resort, overlooking the Tibetan village and the majestic Zhongchagou Mountains. Through well-designed interior spaces, localized dining and spa experiences, as well as exploration and exchange activities, it will show guests the tradition, culture, community and spirit of this Chinese valley. The hotel will be unveiled as a Ritz-Carlton, rated Cat 7.
