As part of Saudi Green Initiative, hashtag#NEOM is dedicated to regreening the land with 100 million native plants, restoring habitats, and helping ecosystems thrive.

We are already well on the way, having restored nearly 60,000 hectares of our natural landscape with passive regreening

    Swiss pavilion
Designed by Manuel Herz with his Basel-based architecture firm and developed together with design studio Bellprat Partner and the construction company Nüssli, it will have the “smallest possible environmental footprint of Expo 2025”, says Herz. In other words, the pavilion will have a minimal impact on the natural world, from the building phase to the dismantling afterwards.

On January 26, the Japanese government’s pavilion, "Japan Pavilion," for the Osaka-Kansai Expo, which opens in April, was unveiled to the press.

The pavilion's theme is "Circulation", and it will be the largest pavilion at the expo. The exterior and interior walls are constructed using a total of 560 wooden panels, and a highlight of the exhibit is a "Mars rock" on display.

In the algae-themed area, 32 statues of Hello Kitty dressed as different types of algae will be featured. Additionally, a space will be designed with tubes cultivating algae, creating a relaxing atmosphere similar to forest bathing.

London studio Woo Architects has redeveloped its design for the UK Pavilion at the Expo 2025 Osaka, which will now pay homage to the innovations of English mathematician Ada Lovelace.

The pavilion will be defined by perforated aluminium panels intended to evoke punched cards – a type of card punctured with holes and once commonly used for inputting data to computers.

According to Woo Architects, the new design aligns with the theme Come Build The Future and celebrates the work of Lovelace, who is known as the world's first computer programmer.
