Following their opening of The Goodtime Hotel in Miami Beach in 2021, musician Pharrell Williams and David Grutman of Groot Hospitality will partner on another project -- a hotel on Paradise Island in the Bahamas.

To be called Somewhere Else, the 400-room oceanfront resort is scheduled to open in 2024. The development is in partnership with Atlantis Paradise Island. The resort will occupy the current site of The Beach at Atlantis.
Atlantis Paradise Island consists of multiple properties offering different accommodation styles and is centered around Aquaventure, a 141-acre waterpark. The complex also includes the 14-acre marine mammal habitat Dolphin Cay, an 18-hole golf course, Atlantis Casino and restaurants from chefs Jose Andres, Todd English and Nobu Matsuhisa.

The Aria, Las Vegas just debuted invite-only suites.

Aria boasts some of the city's most exciting culinary outlets – including Xiao Long Bao from Michelin-starred Taiwanese soup dumpling house Din Tai Fung and the ever-Instagrammable, spicy rigatoni-slinging Carbone. Let us not forget their 80,000-square-foot, desert-inspired spa, pool oasis, and gaming offerings; this is Vegas after all. But while the building's modern design still feels fresh over a decade in, Las Vegas is an extremely competitive market for the highest-end customers. Given that, Aria is just wrapping up a multiyear renovation of their VIP hotel within a hotel concept: Sky Suites.

These 442 penthouses have long been regarded as some of Las Vegas' most-coveted accommodations, but now they are even more in demand. The one- and two-bedroom Sky Suites range from 1,050 to 2,060 square feet in size and have been re-imagined by Rottet Studio

Sky Villas' guests arrive in Rolls-Royce Phantoms and are met by Champagne-baring butlers who whisk them directly up to their accommodations. Naturally, the dining tables are adorned with welcome fruits, charcuterie boards, and preferred libations – be it a bottle of Opus One, Chateau Lafite, or Macallen 25. Continue and you will find a fully stocked bar, bathrooms with your choice of Hermès, Bulgari, or Creed products, and Dyson hair dryers. Feeling peckish? Just call your butler who will personally walk you to a prime table at any restaurant on-site. Naturally, there are also in-villa kitchens should you prefer a celebrity chef swing by to prepare a memorable meal. And while we can't possibly begin to describe the entirety of their offerings, we would be remiss to leave out their cigar cart. Here, a catador (cigar sommelier) will bring up a selection of impossible-to-find offerings, as well as custom cheroots crafted by a master torcedor exclusively for Aria.

Ready to book? Sky Suites start at $1,100 mid-week and $2,000 on weekends and Sky Villas are normally bookable by invitation.

Silk Road Samarkand is a modern multiplex which is set to open in early 2022 in eastern Samarkand. The complex covers 260 hectares and includes world-class business and medical hotels, eateries, recreational facilities, park grounds, an ethnographic corner and a large congress hall for hosting international events.
A central feature of Silk Road Samarkand is the 2-kilometer-long channel which divides the complex into northern and southern sections. The water brings a cool freshness to the desert climate while beautifully mirroring the surrounding structures. This artificial channel has served as a training base for Uzbekistan’s athletic rowing crews for decades and will retain this function in the new tourist center so that guests can watch the canoes and kayaks as they pass by.

Looks like the legal issues with the contractor are now resolved.

Peace has come to The Palmeraie, a $2 billion Ritz-Carlton Paradise Valley resort project on the Scottsdale border that had been threatened by $60 million in liens filed by the lead contractor. Developer Five Star Resort and Utah-based Layton Construction issued a joint statement saying “both parties have amicably resolved all issues between them related to the Paradise Valley Ritz-Carlton Resort Project.”
Less than nine months ago, Layton had on file with the County Recorder liens totaling $46.7 million for non-payment and 23 subcontractors that provided painting, roofing and HVAC work had filed 35 separate mechanic’s liens totaling $17.2 million.According to the liens, Layton signed contracts worth up to $259 million in 2016 and 2019 with Five Star Resort Owner LLC to construct the hotel and villas and perform associated site work.

The Holiday Inn Resort Ho Tram Beach (pictured), a new hotel at the site of The Grand Ho Tram Strip casino resort in Vietnam, is scheduled to open on January 15, announced the operator of the complex.

The 561-room new facility – under the Holiday Inn brand owned by InterContinental Hotel Group Plc – had originally been scheduled for launch in mid-July 2021. The launch was postponed to January because of travel restrictions linked to the Covid-19 situation in Vietnam, the property’s promoter told GGRAsia in November.
The resort’s flagship property, the Grand Ho Tram hotel, had already been rebranded as the InterContinental Grand Ho Tram in the middle of June.

Some personnel changes coming to Wynn Macau Ltd.

Craig Billings is to take over on February 1 as chief executive of Macau casino operator Wynn Macau Ltd, according to a Friday filing by the latter to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. The same day, Mr Billings will also become the chief executive of the United States-based parent, Wynn Resorts Ltd, taking over from Matt Maddox, who is leaving the parent to pursue other interests.

As previously announced, Mr Maddox is remaining on the Wynn Macau Ltd board until December 31, 2022 – but as a non-executive director – to assist with matters linked to the expiry in June next year of the brand’s current Macau gaming rights.
Mr Billings’ previous experience in the gaming industry includes work as chief digital officer and managing director of strategy and business development at slot machine and gaming content provider Aristocrat Leisure Ltd.

Not clear enough to take screengrabs from but you can see the progress on the main lobby and how much clearer and cleaner the outside areas are now. Getting close to begin landscaping and finishes on that side of the building by the looks of it.

The Sphere is looking really good with lots of work ongoing the past few months, it's really ramped up.

The inside of The Sphere and it's predicted layout for the venue.

It's hard to get a sense of scale on just how big this building is until you see the people working on it!
