An extensive street-paving project required to create the 3.8-mile raceway (which runs from Koval Lane to Sands Avenue and then down Las Vegas Boulevard to Harmon Avenue) started in April, affecting the Strip and adjacent roads and disrupting driving for resort guests and casino employees who service the resort corridor’s 150,000 rooms. Locals once boasted that it only took 15 minutes to get anywhere within the easy-to-navigate city. That narrative has been replaced with gripes about gridlock and orange cones.

In ground-floor garages adjacent to the starting line, each racing team will have three days to completely build out their space, constructing two cars on site for the night race. Upstairs, there is the Paddock Club and suites as well as the Wynn Grid Club.
Chapman Taylor has revealed its innovative design for the 150,000m2 GBA Porta Jeddah mixed-use development in Saudi Arabia.
Acting on behalf of Al Akaria, the project is set to become an iconic landmark in the city, featuring a wide variety of retail, F&B and leisure as well as a 150-key lifestyle hotel, branded residences and workplace amenities.
The design draws inspiration from the city’s rich cultural heritage and includes elements that evoke powerful memories of Jeddah, such as the Makkah gate, the old port, Al Balad and the palace gardens.

Several of Nevada’s largest publicly traded gaming companies are planning to invest billions of dollars into casino and resort developments throughout the U.S. and internationally. But Las Vegas, for now, is an afterthought.
Wells Fargo Financial gaming analyst Daniel Politzer told investors in a research note earlier this month that projects developed by the Las Vegas Sands, Wynn Resorts and MGM Resorts International could be the most lucrative of the proposals. But some might not make it past the planning stages.
He said Las Vegas Sands, which no longer has gaming properties in the U.S. after the sale of its Strip resorts for $6.25 billion 16 months ago, will spend more than $13 billion to expand and upgrade its Macau and Singapore resorts and is seeking to build a hotel-casino project on Long Island, New York. However, the company is one of nine bidders for three New York City gaming licenses.
