Suncity Group’s Philippines subsidiary, Suntrust Home Developers Inc, has announced revisions to agreements inked with Megawide Construction Corporation that suggest completion of the group’s Manila integrated resort could be delayed until early 2024.
The LOA grants two packages to Megawide for construction of Suntrust’s Westside City Resort hotel and casino project , with Package 1 comprising a Pile Cap, Excavation & ELS Direct Contract at a cost of Php2.27 billion. Package 2 is the main site contract and includes the basement substructure, superstructure and ABWF (Architectural Builders Works and Finishes) at a cost of Php4.02 billion.

The project was originally planned for completion in late 2023, but Suntrust said Thursday it had agreed to extend the completion date for Package 2 until “no later than March 31, 2024 in order to afford the parties some flexibility.”

Macau casino stocks lose almost US$5 billion in sell-off as China’s gambling crackdown snares junket boss
Macau casino stocks tumbled, erasing US$4.8 billion of market value in Hong Kong, as the arrest of the head of the biggest junket operator in the gambling hub revived concerns about Beijing’s increased scrutiny of the industry.

Sands China and Galaxy Entertainment, the two gaming stocks on the benchmark Hang Seng Index, dropped more than 5 per cent on Monday, extending a sell-off on Friday that was spurred by the emerge of the Omicron virus strain. MGM China sank 10 per cent. The losses were much wider than the index’s 1 per cent decline.
“Macau’s go-go years do seem over,” said Steve Vickers, a risk management consultant at Steve Vickers & Associates and a former Hong Kong policeman. “Investors in the casino businesses should manage expectations accordingly.”
Suncity’s junket revenue will probably drop by 30 to 50 per cent in coming weeks, according to JPMorgan Chase, calling the detention “really bad” for the industry. Suncity accounts for about 45 per cent of the junket market, or 15 per cent of Macau’s total gross gaming revenue in 2019, it said.

The luxury casino resort on the site of the former Athens airport (Hellinikon) will be ready by 2026.

In January 2020, Mohegan Gaming and Entertainment won the bid to build an integrated resort and casino, a project called ‘Inspire Athens’.

“Right now, we anticipate that upon conclusion of the contractual negotiation process, permitting and design will take approximately 12 to 18 months”, Ray Pineault, Interim Chief Executive Officer at Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment told the Delphi Economic Forum. He said that the resort was expected to open in 2025 or 2026.

Dubai Investments (DIC) has signed a deal with RAK-based developer Marjan to open AED 1 billion ($272 million) development on Ras Al Khaimah’s Al Marjan Island. The development on the island, which is already home to international hotel brands including Rixos, Hilton and Accor, will feature a beachfront resort, serviced apartments, villas and residential buildings, as well as retail and F&B units.
The DIC and Marjan deal follows RAK’s announcement earlier this year that it would invest $136 million in ‘experiential tourism’.

I think this may offer a slightly better explanation. There has been no "official" location as far as I can tell that was made public but this shows the restricted zone in question and the location and description of building a "Siem Riep China Town" makes me think it was likely close to the city - I can't imagine many other places being described as a "prime piece of developement land"

The government has granted the company a 50-year lease on a “prime piece of development land” just about 500 meters south of the outer restricted zone of the Angkor temple complex, the announcement says.

The Sam Lord's Barbados Resort is still having some issues by the looks of it but this video shows that at least some of the work has been started on the Wyndham property surrounding it...
Would be interested to hear more about it as there's not a lot of detail online and Wyndham have been keeping very quiet about it.

This video is from March 2021

This video is from October 2021

Plenty of movement between the two but no "official" news to be found.

The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority is nearing a $120 million deal to sell 10 acres of Strip-front property where the Riviera stood. The LVCVA’s board of directors on Tuesday is scheduled to consider selling the land at the southeast corner of Las Vegas and Elvis Presley boulevards, across from the long-stalled former Fontainebleau tower, to CB Investment SpA.

Terms of the LVCVA deal call for the north Strip property to be developed as a resort or hotel and prohibit any other use. The convention authority also would have the right of first refusal if CB Investment wants to resell the land. Terms of the sale require the company to begin construction by Jan. 1, 2031, with completion by Jan. 1, 2034.

The land sale is expected to close by June 30, but that could be pushed to Oct. 31, 2022, if the buyer pays $3 million to extend it. The LVCVA also retained the right to use the land, for a fee, until April 30, 2023, for parking, outdoor exhibitions or access to a planned connection at Resorts World for the Boring Co.’s underground-transit system.

Las Vegas seems to be going crazy with the new resort announcements recently.

American luxury hotels operator Dream Hotel Group has reportedly been granted official permission to bring its latest property to an around five-acre parcel of land located at the southern end of the Las Vegas Strip.

According to a report from the Las Vegas Review-Journal newspaper, the New York-headquartered firm received the green light from the Clark County Commission on Wednesday afternoon to begin building a Dream-branded development that is to sit adjacent to the Nevada city’s McCarran International Airport. The source detailed that this work could now start from as soon as April before the finished 527-room resort hotel opens approximately two years later also offering a pool deck and a covered parking garage.

The newspaper reported that Dream Hotel Group collected the Clark County Commission’s consent for the $600 million property via a six-to-one vote only after it had agreed to make several changes to the layout of the envisioned 20-story venue. These alterations may purportedly end up costing the developer an extra $10 million but were instigated following criticism that the location of the enterprise next to the nation’s seventh busiest airport could lead to several ‘safety and security concerns.’

Station Casinos received approval from county officials Wednesday to move forward with its much-anticipated plan to build a resort in the southwest valley.

The Clark County Commission greenlighted the company’s proposal to build a 211-room hotel with an 83,178-square-foot casino on South Durango Drive just south of the 215 Beltway. Station plans to break ground on its new project — Durango, a Station Casinos Resort — early next year, according to the company.

They say the resort will focus on gaming, have little competition within 5 square miles and cater to the southwest valley’s growing population. “Once again Stations, as a true locals casino, is coming to the rescue in the southwest, I’d say, by providing them a place where they can dine, where they can go hang out,” Bob Finch, chief operating officer for Station parent company Red Rock Resorts, told the Review-Journal.

The company intends to release a cost estimate for Durango at its third-quarter earnings call with investors this fall. Finch estimated Durango would open late 2023.
Plans submitted to the county note two phases of construction. The first phase would have a single 216-foot-tall hotel tower; water features; a parking structure; four restaurants and beverage stops; a “state-of-the-art” race and sportsbook; 20,000 square feet of meeting and convention space; a pool space with private cabanas and an event lawn; and electric vehicle charging stations.

The Finnish Pavilion for Expo 2020 Dubai showcases the country's deep connection with nature and sustainability, contributing to its high quality of life. Titled "Snow Cape", the pavilion designed by JKMM Architects subtly evokes Finnish natural settings through materiality and atmosphere while embodying the principles of circular economy championed by the Nordic country. The structure with its tent-like entrance creates a point of commonality, reminding of Finland's nomadic heritage, as well as the Arabic text.

The circular economy imperatives have informed the construction of the pavilion, for which the majority of the materials were sourced locally, thus reducing the environmental impact of transportation. Moreover, the design took into consideration the structure's life after the Expo, with the project set to remain in place for an additional five years, after which it will be dismantled and its materials recycled or reused.
