We honestly weren’t impressed with the Ritz-Carlton Red Sea. It’s way overpriced for what you get. The rooms felt really cramped, dark and claustrophobic. St Regis next door is much better!

St. Regis Red Sea is a beautiful, really special property with super attentive staff and very good facilities. The only disappointing part was the water — not as clear as in the Maldives. We think the island was once surrounded by mangroves that were cleared, which left the beach shoreline mushy and the water slightly murky.

Here is the location of the new NEOM International Airport at the end of THE LINE. Not to be confused with the small operational NEOM Bay Airport.

Treyam is not that far from where THE LINE meets the Red Sea.
It's fenced off by a security gate. We chatted with a guard, and he said that the entire stretch of coastline facing Egypt’s Sinai has always been off limits for visitors, even before Treyam was announced. No visible construction as of yet.
You can sea THE LINE in the background here:

There's a ton of construction going on around Trojena. The roads are super steep and twisty, and there are trucks everywhere. Looks like the project’s really moving full speed.

It’s difficult to get close to Qiddiya Coast, since it’s behind a gated community. So far, there is no visible construction activity.

Construction has commenced, but access to the site is restricted. Everything is closed off, and security is strictly monitoring the area. This part of Saudi Arabia is looking really impressive, and Egypt is just a stone's throw away across the sea.

A brand new, empty road leads to Sindalah, but the island is hard to see from the mainland. The pier is still under construction, with security stationed at the entrance.

We'll soon post a lot of NEOM updates/impressions:

NEOM only has three operating hotels as of 24 Feb 2025.
The Hampton by Hilton at NEOM Community 1. Very tiny rooms. Another one is about to open at NEOM Community 2:
Both the L'azure and the adjacent more modern Royal L'azure, by the beach:

When driving from Tabuk to NEOM Bay Airport, you'll actually cross The Line:
But not much to see yet on this section:
