In the cradle of Saudi culture and arts, Diriyah Company has announced the awarding of a $1.4 billion (SAR 5.1 billion) contract for the Royal Diriyah Opera House a landmark development set to become a beacon for performing arts and cultural exchange in the Kingdom.

Designed by international architecture firm Snøhetta the opera house span 46,000 square meters. It will feature four distinct venues, including a 2,000-seat main theatre, two 450-seat multipurpose theatres, and a shaded rooftop amphitheater, blending modern performance needs with traditional Najdi architectural influences.

Located in the historic Diriyah area, the project emphasizes public accessibility, environmental sustainability, and cultural authenticity. The design includes green gardens, shaded walkways, and a variety of public spaces that connect seamlessly to the surrounding community. Solar-ready rooftops, efficient cooling systems, and water-saving strategies are among the eco-conscious elements incorporated.

After years of planning and construction, Indonesia’s new capital city is set to be inaugurated on August 17, despite the fact that the site remains an active construction zone. The new city of Nusantara, on the island of Borneo, will replace Jakarta as the national capital, moving the seat of government about 800 miles away. The decades-long project covering hundreds of square miles will cost about $33 billion, according to estimates by the administration of Indonesian President Joko Widodo. The stated reasons for the move include alleviating overcrowding in Jakarta and moving the capital to a more central location within the Indonesian archipelago.

The Neptune villas were initially limited to 12, but the number was increased to 48 due to high demand from high-net-worth individuals both locally and internationally.
The El Bahrawy Group has launched a new sales drive for the Neptune villas, with two-bedroom models priced at AED 29 million; three-bedroom models at AED 32 million; and four-bedroom models priced at AED 46 million.
Owners may either keep their villa for personal use, or hand it over to Kempinski for rental purposes, upon which the developer anticipates an off-season nightly rental rate of AED 50,000 including a crew of six and à la carte services by Kempinski.
