I agree, concept art is really just to give a feel rather than specification for what will be delivered.

Those to me look like giant frogs (note the extended legs/feet) and are to fit with the animal theming for the whole resort. I believe that space is just meant to feel like you're underwater and you would have to wait for the actual design to come out to see what it actually turned out to be.

In this week's episode of Construction Week's Expo Reactions series, we speak with the commissioner-general of the Poland Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, Adrian Malinowski.

Malinowski discusses the one-year postponement of the World Fair as well as telling CW that the "intensive process" of building works will start on the pavilion during August and September 2020. New resort planned for Sharjah.

As part of its plans to attract more visitors, Sharjah is getting ready to welcome four new tourist attractions. From a luxury waterfront hotel to an ecotourism resort, the four attractions aim to give people a reason to visit the third-largest city in the UAE, which already has a reputation for its unique heritage and cultural landscape.
    Khor Fakkan Water Park Resort

Located on the east coast of the country, Khor Fakkan has spectacular views of mountains, paired with beautiful beach landscapes and a seasonal climate. The beach area is already in the process of being redeveloped, including the addition of an amphitheatre, skating rink, sports courts, picnic areas, and a huge children’s play area. The water park resort will include a family-friendly hotel with 66 rooms, alongside the first waterpark in the region.
    Family-Friendly Safari Park

Sharjah’s Al Dhaid region is surrounded by gravel plains and Acadia trees, the perfect backdrop for a safari attraction. The Seih Al Bardi Kabeer Safari Park will span over 14 square kilometres, within a wildlife protected area. The sustainable tourism project will support conservation efforts by housing up to 50,000 native and imported animals. The park will include a new 60 room family retreat hotel, where guests can hopefully spot impalas, wildebeest, giraffes, and rhinos from their own room.
Kalba Waterfront Lagoon View Mall and Hotel

Just a few minutes travel from Oman’s northern border, the Kalba waterfront is already being redeveloped to include one of the country’s most spectacular and picturesque shopping malls. The view from the mall will be of the beautiful mangrove-lined lagoon, as well as a sprawling park where visitors can enjoy the natural surroundings. The waterfront will also include a shopping promenade, dining area, and a 1,600 children’s play area, alongside a new luxury hotel directly adjacent to the waterfront.
    The Moon Resort at Mlehia

Mlehia is located around an hours drive from the city, where tourists can go to experience the deep deserts of Sharjah. Quad biking and trekking are popular in the area, alongside other desert escapades. The new addition to the area will be a Moon Retreat, a family-friendly desert haven where guests can stay overnight, to stargaze and relax.

Resorts World Las Vegas is cleared to move ahead with plans to build an underground station for The Boring Company's people mover.

The proposed tunnel would connect the under-construction resort with the under-construction transportation line that's already beneath the Las Vegas Convention Center.

"We are thrilled to receive approval from the County Commission to move forward with our proposed passenger station and tunnel and are eager to take the next steps in creating an innovative transportation solution for our convention guests and visitors," Resorts World Las Vegas president Scott Sibella said in a press release.

This is the most recent news on the border I can find and it looks like it is now open from Mainland China with some restrictions.

China has loosened coronavirus-related border restrictions between Macau and the neighbouring coastal province of Guangdong, sending shares of Macau casino operators surging on hopes of a quick pickup in demand.
Guangdong authorities said late on Monday that from July 15 visitors arriving from the world’s biggest gambling hub would no longer have to undergo a 14-day quarantine. The border with mainland China has been effectively shut since late March.
“Individuals coming to Macau from outside of Guangdong would face difficulties in travel as they would likely need to stay in Guangdong for two weeks prior to traveling home, which will severely restrict visitation,” he said.

Walt Disney World filed permits with Orange County on July 14th for the commencement of “Project H – installation of show set elements.” Project H has been the long-rumored name given to the Star Wars hotel which is being handled by Themeworks Inc. in High Springs. According to the portfolio for the company, previous clients include SeaWorld Orlando.

I somehow missed week 11 of the series but here it is...

In this episode, Construction Week deputy editor Anup Oommen speaks to Daniel, the Commissioner-General of the Estonia Pavilion at #Expo2020 about what visitors can expect to see and experience at the Estonia pavilion, a "digital way of life", and how Estonia is coping with the COVID-19 outbreak.
Talking about the progress on the construction of the Estonia Pavilion, Schaer says: “We are renting the Pavilion. We were a little late in the decision-making process and decided to take a pre-built pavilion from the Expo organisers. So, the building has been completed, and we're working very diligently on the exhibition side, at the moment."

The residences planned for this resort are now all sold. You can see more of the floorplans, concept art and details on this site. Still not much information on the hotels construction at the moment.

All twenty Residences feature multiple master bedrooms with five-fixture bathrooms, walk-in closets, a 90+ bottle wine storage appliance, luxuriously appointed dining and entertaining spaces, and generously covered outdoor terraces for relaxing with family and friends in a vineyard setting.

It looks like the area is now open to tourists in groups but the hotel is now delayed into 2021 opening. I can't find any construction images though... only concept art.

The Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area has been reopened two weeks ago. The current flow is limited and can only receive group tourists.
The Ritz-Carlton Hotel, which was originally scheduled to open in the third quarter of last year, has also been delayed, and is currently tentatively unveiled in the first half of next year.

Looks like the Circa Resort will open earlier than scheduled and is already taking reservations.

Previously slated for a December 2020 launch, the 1.25 million-square-foot integrated casino-resort will open with its first five floors of amenities and state-of-the-art parking hub – Garage Mahal – ahead of schedule. Upon completion, the resort will have approximately 1,000 employees.
To achieve this timeline, Stevens reallocated construction resources from Circa's hotel tower to the first five floors. Slated for completion at the end of 2020, the tower will house Circa's 777 rooms and suites starting on the eighth floor; room reservations will go live June 24. Guests looking to visit prior to the tower opening can reserve rooms at the D Las Vegas or Golden Gate Hotel & Casino, also owned by Stevens, and enjoy access to Circa's pool in addition to its public amenities.
I also found their media kit which has lots of photos of construction including these ones of the topping off which I hadn't seen before.

Aerial look at Star Wars Galactic Cruiser (hotel). When work resumes there will be a forest hiding the show building and cabins (at left). Only the Porte Cochère at right will be seen by guests. Excursions from the ship to Batuu likely at the low structure at center.

The Disney Wish, the cruise ship linked with the opening of Lighthouse Point is currently under construction and has now been announced to be setting sail in January 2022 despite rumours that it is being delayed further.

Construction on the ship can be seen here from June 2020.

Disney lovers, we finally have a date for the maiden voyage of the the company's newest cruise ship. In August last year, the entertainment giant announced the next cruise liner to join its ever-growing fleet will be called the Disney Wish - and now we have learned it will be setting sail in January 2022.

I believe so. It will cost over $1bn, expand one of Dubai's most popular resorts and change the skyline of one of the most iconic tourist resorts in the world. It's going to be an amazing construction and, given the current economic climate, will be interesting to see how it performs once opened.

Construction has continued through the pandemic and the first phase of The Heart of Europe on The World will be delivered by Q4 this year.

Austrian developer Josef Kleindienst’s US$5bn mega-resort project, The Heart of Europe, in Dubai is on track to complete phase one of construction, despite COVID-19.

The Heart of Europe is claimed to feature the world’s first floating underwater spa as well as 15 unique hotels and resorts spread across six islands designed to showcase European culture, heritage and lifestyle experiences through architecture, events and new technology, such as the world’s first climate-controlled rainy street and snow plaza.

Even when COVID-19 halted other projects’ progress on mainland Dubai, the developer reported that construction is in ‘full swing’, with phase one of the project set to be complete in 2020 Q4 which involves the completion of four hotels.
