The Ministry of Planning and Investment has submitted a report to the Prime Minister for a US$2.18 billion tourist complex, featuring a casino, in northern Quang Ninh Province.

The People's Committee of Quang Ninh has proposed to build the complex, a premium tourist destination with hotels and resorts, on a 245-hectare site in Van Yen village, Van Don district.

The project, with an initial capital of VND51.55 trillion ($2.18 billion), is anticipated to complete by the third quarter of 2032, spanning less than nine years of construction. Once approved, it will operate for a duration of 70 years.

Neom in Saudi Arabia has registered a series of trademarks including Treyam, Aquellum and Jaumur, which could hint at the names of future developments in the region.

Four Neom regions yet to be announced
Spotted by travel website Skift, the registered names include the futuristic-sounding Gidori, Xaynor and Siranna.
Many of the names, including Treyam, Aquellum and Jaumur, were registered in the real estate category, suggesting that they could be the names of Neom's future regions.

Neom applies for numerous trademarks
The majority of the names of these developments, as well as the recently announced Leyja and Epicon regions, are also on the list of trademarks Neom has applied for.
Along with the real estate listings, several applications including Utamo, Gidori, Norlana and Elanan are in the travel category, while others, including Magna and Safana, are listed as entertainment, leisure and amusement.

UK’s Largest Surfing Wave Pool Under Construction In Edinburgh

Located at the site of the former Craigpark Quarry near the Edinburgh airport, The Lost Shore Surf Resort claims that its Wavegarden Cove-powered pool will produce 1,000 waves per hour once it’s fully operational. Around the pool itself will be an 820-foot long beachfront, lodges, a food market, a restaurant and a spa. The accommodations will include 31 luxury lodges for up to eight people and 22 premium pods accommodating between two and six people, as the Edinburgh News reports.

The Lost Shore Surf resort is set to open September 2024.
