So there has been very, very little movement of any kind with this site but I went and had a good dig around today and...

The website Tamuda-bay.com is no longer operational, this has happened before but the error doesn't look good!
You can still access https://www.ritzcarlton.com/en/hotels/tturz-the-ritz-carlton-tamuda-bay/overview/ but you can't get to that page through the new and upcoming list on the main site like you used to be able to.

Google maps looks no different to previous years but it was last updated in May 2024 but it's hard to tell if there's any activity in the area. There is some construction going on on the other side of the lagoon but as you can see the entrance to the RC site is at the Green Arrow and the construction is circled red so unlikely to be related.



I think this project is dead and buried for RC at least, it may be being sold under another name and it does look like at some point some of the residences were occupied but no RC involvement as far as I can tell.

What's the latest on this?

This image was taken in June 2022, it looks abandoned and the photographer was also on the site late 2021 and took some images inside the property which made it look somewhat abandoned. Things may have changed in the past 6 months, does anyone have any idea about the resort aspects?

Some new images seem to have appeared on the official site again but nothing seems to be happening in terms of the resort aspect.

Recent updates: a month ago an interior designer shared the results of his work on one of the villas in Ritz Carlton Tamuda Bay. Now we can see the insides of one of the houses. It looks pretty finished!







In Yousliving story highlights you can even find the videos of the villa inside. Gave me a feeling that you can go and already live there.

It's difficult to tell. There are two apartments listed for rental on Air BnB but only one has a single review from 2021 so could easily be scam listings using photos from offical sources with random interior shots (they both look similar inside and not to RC quality!). There is no official Ritz-Carlton bookings available and the Golf Course is not open.

It looks dead to me but there are still villas listed for sale and the RC website does list it as "opening soon" - there is also a big difference in progress between photos, some looks almost photoshopped they are so pristine whereas the google maps photos show a grubby, overgrown development.

If anyone has any further updates or photos that we can properly date it would be interesting to see.
