  1. I found a site where you can see the plans for the resort including some of the resort layout.

It looks like the area is now open to tourists in groups but the hotel is now delayed into 2021 opening. I can't find any construction images though... only concept art.

The Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area has been reopened two weeks ago. The current flow is limited and can only receive group tourists.
The Ritz-Carlton Hotel, which was originally scheduled to open in the third quarter of last year, has also been delayed, and is currently tentatively unveiled in the first half of next year.

  3. Does anyone know if construction is still ongoing on this resort? Haven’t seen anything other than the delayed announcement, not sure if construction has resumed?

  4. Official site still says "opening soon" and some new concept art has been added but no official date released nor any new images I can find of construction.

It looks like all single villa's surrounding a main central reception building but all low rise.

  7. Where is this resort? Are they all single villas or will there be a main tower/reception area also?

87 luxury villas are situated along the edge of the Tibetan Plateau with panoramic views of the beautiful snow-capped Minshan mountain range, deep woodlands, and ancient Tibetan villages. The angled shape of the villas mimics the surrounding mountain peaks and reflect the extraordinary rugged landscape.

Celebrating the natural beauty and richness of the region, WATG’s design for the new destination pays homage to the local Tibetan heritage through the use of traditional building forms and locally-sourced materials and indigenous planting.

  9. Twenty minutes from the UNESCO World Heritage Jiuzhaigou National Park, the first all-villa resort from The Ritz-Carlton invites visitors to immerse in the history, culture and natural beauty of its mountain valley home. Overlooking Tibetan villages, snowcapped mountains and lush grass plots, the resort features an intimate, inviting design that blends beautifully with its surroundings.
