The residential properties on Yas Island are now progressing well with residents able to move in to some homes soon. No recent information seems to be available on the hotels etc and nothing about those parts of construction included in Aldar's update.

Following the completion of construction on the first three towers of The Bridges project on Reem Island, Aldar Properties has begun handovers of the 636 apartments offered. In addition, construction on Reflection, Aldar’s 374-apartment development on the island, is approximately 25% complete.
Meanwhile, Aldar has also revealed progress on its developments on Yas Island. The first two precincts at Yas Acres – the flagship golf and waterfront villa and townhouse development – have commenced handover to customers
The executive director – commercial at Aldar Properties, Rashed Al Omaira, said: “We are proud to have started the year with a number of handovers including The Bridges and Yas Acres. The Bridges brings the very best of Reem's canal, park, waterfront, and city skyline views, and Yas Acres emphasises a sense of community with leisure at the heart of everyday life.

“All of our other developments are seeing solid progress and we look forward to delivering new homes to our customers in the coming period. Aldar is also committed to ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of all people working on site.

  2. Yas Island's #1 development under construction right now is the SeaWorld indoor theme park adjacent to IKEA:

  3. Miral, the developer of Yas Island, is a very unique company as it is not bound by the necessity to enter into profitable ventures. Funds are literally unlimited, guaranteed by the government, and serve the wider purpose of putting Abu Dhabi on the global map. None of their theme parks, water parks, resorts and malls are capable of ever breaking even or designed as sustainable businesses. They live and operate in a dream world and can't serve as a role model for any other industry player.

Short update on dates for Hilton's biggest projects.

The 641-room Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island Resort is due to open in Q4, 2022 and will be in the Yas Bay, a 3-kilometre stretch that is anticipated to become one of the region’s most iconic and vibrant waterfront destinations. The resort’s facilities will include a multi-purpose conference centre, seven dining outlets and an innovative urban beach concept with an infinity pool suspended above the Arabian Gulf. The resort is also near the 18,000-capacity Yas Arena, a multi-purpose indoor arena designed to host events including sporting competitions, major cultural performances, concerts and MICE activities.
