Just trying to work out some of the details as to what is being delivered with this expansion.

This was the information for the building of the second tower in 2017... it was expected to house a waterpark which I can find no other information on.

Meanwhile, The Grand’s second tower, the 559-room five star hotel named The Beach Club is 13-floors out of the ground and estimated to top-out within three months. The second tower will include a waterpark and 2000 person amphitheater as well as extensive leisure amenities for guests.
    Source: https://thegrandhotram.com/holy-khoi/

I also think that this means the new tower - previously know as The Beach Club - is the one that's now being listed as a new Holiday Inn?

Holiday Inn Resort Ho Tram Beach will be a 502-key hotel featuring facilities geared for family fun. Guests can enjoy their time at swimming pools and enjoy captivating views of the long coastline at the 360-degree rooftop bar. Additionally, the hotel will have direct access to facilities including a cinema, bowling arcade, food court and water park.
Does anyone know if that's correct or have any updates on the second tower or waterpark elements?

There is a current tender on offer for a project on The World Islands and was updated on May 12th. Does anyone know what this might be related to? Maybe just an old tender that's been updated incorrectly or is something going on there now? It seems unlikely to be an ongoing project?

Short update on dates for Hilton's biggest projects.

The 641-room Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island Resort is due to open in Q4, 2022 and will be in the Yas Bay, a 3-kilometre stretch that is anticipated to become one of the region’s most iconic and vibrant waterfront destinations. The resort’s facilities will include a multi-purpose conference centre, seven dining outlets and an innovative urban beach concept with an infinity pool suspended above the Arabian Gulf. The resort is also near the 18,000-capacity Yas Arena, a multi-purpose indoor arena designed to host events including sporting competitions, major cultural performances, concerts and MICE activities.

Construction Week are hosting a series of videos on reactions to the postponement of Dubai 2020. It's interesting to listen to the various pavilion owners talk about their work and how Dubai is going to welcome visitors in 2021 instead of this year.

This one is the Luxembourg Pavilion.

According to new a new permit filed with the state, Adirondack Scenic is listed as a contractor for set installation for Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser hotel near Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
On the permit, the description of work to be completed is “fabrication and installation of sets” and Walt Disney Imagineering is the owner. The end date listed on the permit is notable because it doesn’t expire in a year as is the default on permits. The expiration date on the permit is January 29, 2022, a date entered by Imagineering instead of the standard one year expiration date.

Walking tour of the strip including the Resorts World site, doesn't look like much is happening right now but it's good to see the location of the resort from the strip if you're not that familiar with the area.

Apparently construction is still ongoing on Circa Resort and Casino.

America JR's Jason Rzucidlo recently visited the site of the all-new Circa Resort & Casino in downtown Las Vegas. Construction was designed as an essential industry by Nevada Gov. Steve Sisolak so the building continues to take shape.

Postponement request has been approved by the member states however it has to be voted on by the wider committee. If agreed, the event will run from October 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022 but will retain the name of EXPO 2020.

Any change of dates requires a two-thirds majority of BIE member states, with voting set to be carried out remotely between April 24th and May 29th.
The executive committee of the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) has unanimously agreed to propose the postponement of Expo 2020 Dubai. The 12-delegate member states agreed to the request from the UAE Government that the 173-day global showcase be moved.

Earlier in April, the UAE government officially requested the postponement of Expo 2020 Dubai to October 2021, due to the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak.

Disney's Reflections - A Disney Lakeside Lodge still has construction work taking place during the park closure.

When we saw permits filed earlier this month for work on a Table Service Restaurant, bus stop, transportation dock, and more at the site of Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge, it was still assumed that construction had been halted throughout Walt Disney World Resort––and it has, for the most part––but according to a new report from the Orlando Business Journal, one local construction firm continues chipping away at the upcoming nature-themed Disney Vacation Resort property in progress.

Its 42 two-story villas sit on natural slopes offering 115 well-appointed guest rooms and suites. Many enjoy the luxury of individual pools and terraces, while all benefit from the care of a tosoani or private attendant. Each of the rooms showcase work from artisans from across the country including Oaxaca, Mexico City, Jalisco, and Puebla. Carefully selected combinations of solid woods and stone provide a natural calm to the suites.

Outside the splendid guest rooms and suites, Zadún continues to delight. Its one-off, 29,535-square-foot Spa Alkemia offers a wealth of locally inspired, luxury treatments. Delightful touches such as Casa Privada – a private spa within the Spa for couples or small groups – and Templo de Calor – a modern reimagining of Mexico’s ancient temazcal ceremonies – set Spa Alkemia apart from many others in the region.
