The Finnish Pavilion for Expo 2020 Dubai showcases the country's deep connection with nature and sustainability, contributing to its high quality of life. Titled "Snow Cape", the pavilion designed by JKMM Architects subtly evokes Finnish natural settings through materiality and atmosphere while embodying the principles of circular economy championed by the Nordic country. The structure with its tent-like entrance creates a point of commonality, reminding of Finland's nomadic heritage, as well as the Arabic text.

The circular economy imperatives have informed the construction of the pavilion, for which the majority of the materials were sourced locally, thus reducing the environmental impact of transportation. Moreover, the design took into consideration the structure's life after the Expo, with the project set to remain in place for an additional five years, after which it will be dismantled and its materials recycled or reused.

First images have been revealed for the Singapore Pavilion designed by Singapore-based architecture office WOHA at Expo 2020 Dubai which will open to the public on October 1, 2021 in Dubai.
The Singapore Pavilion takes green architecture to the center of design to help visitors appreciate the benefits and possibilities of integrating nature within our urban environments. Layered with a showcase of greenery, digital solutions and art, the Pavilion exemplifies Singapore’s vision of becoming a City in Nature, and ethos of sustainable development via innovative and impactful urban solutions.
The Singapore Pavilion is considered one of the greenest pavilions at this year’s Expo, the Pavilion will showcase more than 170 varieties of plants within different layers of greenery in various spaces of the pavilion. From hanging gardens to vertical walls that feature plants of ethnobotanical value1, visitors are enveloped in an inviting three-dimensional green space that also provides a cool respite from the buzz and excitement of the Expo grounds.

The overall quality of the video is not high but it's cool to be able to "look around" the 360* video.

In the latest episode of Expo Reaction series, Construction Week’s digital editor, Ranju Warrier, speaks to Clayton Kimpton, New Zealand's commissioner-general at Expo 2020 Dubai.

Kimpton, in an exclusive virtual interview with Construction Week, talks about the idea behind the pavilion's design and theme; constructing during the COVID-19 pandemic; and how the pavilion connects to the nation's values and identity.

Located within the Sustainability District, the New Zealand Pavilion is based on the M?ori concept of kaitiakitanga, while the pavilion will be presented to the world as the nation’s waka taonga — a receptacle for essential aspects of New Zealand’s identity and values, which reflects the 'Connecting Minds, Creating the Future' theme of the Expo.
