This deadline might now slip with the Expo being postponed but construction seems to be continuing at present.

Construction work on the Address Jumeirah Resort, which comprises two 310-metre towers along Dubai’s coastline, is progressing after announcing the topping out of the structure.

The beach residence and resort’s structural completion was achieved in just 799 days, which the firm said was “on-track” to be fully completed to co-incide with the launch of Expo 2020 Dubai in Q4 2020.
The resort is now in an interior fit out phase and in the final structural topping out of the 310-metre high sky bridge, which will link the two skyscrapers at the very top.

The sky bridge will also feature an infinity pool, once completed, which they claim will be the highest in the world.

Construction of the Palm Exotica resort in Watamu, Kilifi county, Kenya has been put on hold following a decline of an environmental impact assessment license by the National Environment Management Authority (Nema). Nema Acting Director General, Mamo Mamo confirmed the report and said the project is not in conformity with the existing planning framework
The authority thus ordered the investors to either re-design the project to conform with existing planning framework or seek an alternative site. "Based on the above grounds and in light of the provisions of Environmental Management and Coordination Act, Cap 387, the authority is of the view that the proposed project will not enhance sustainable development and sound environmental management," stated Mamo Mamo in a letter.
The proposed US $277m project is a mixed-use development that will feature tastefully furnished residential suites, eclectic restaurants and a vibrant 24-hour casino, a good feature for coastal entertainment.

THE first phase of a decades-long master plan to transform Sentosa and Pulau Brani into a "game-changing leisure and tourism destination" will be completed in 2022 to the tune of S$90 million, but it will also result in the demolition of the iconic Sentosa Merlion, Sentosa Development Corporation (SDC) revealed on Friday.

Sentosa Sensoryscape will link Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) in the north to Sentosa's beaches in the south through a "multi-sensory experience" that will also replace the existing pedestrian thoroughfare.
[QUOTE]The redeveloped islands will feature five distinct zones, with each zone progressively taking on a more leisurely character as guests travel further from the city into the islands.

The five zones are Vibrant Cluster, Island Heart, Waterfront, Ridgeline and Beachfront.

Mr Quek said the corporation is considering ways to commemorate the Merlion even as it is looking into the possibility of creating a new icon for the island. He also said the SDC is in talks with potential hospitality and attraction players in its bid to bring more attractions to the island under the master plan./QUOTE]
