Diriyah is getting a giant new entertainment venue
The Arena Diriyah will be a 20,000-seat venue where you’ll be able to catch some of the biggest sports, culture and entertainment events that come to Riyadh. Adjacent to the large arena will be a plaza – an outdoor venue where you’ll see live performances, pop-up shows and events. Surrounding the venue will be an urban park for visitors attending events and for the residents of Diriyah to enjoy. The Arena Diriyah will cover an immense 76,000 square metres and is currently one of the tallest new buildings planned for the town.

More on the recently signed agreement

Osaka IR Corporation, a joint venture between MGM Resorts and Orix Corporation, has signed an agreement with Osaka Prefecture and Osaka City for an integrated resort plan in Yumeshima, Osaka. While the casino has already been approved, this meeting was conducted to agree upon the exact location and development of the Osaka-Yumeshima area-specified complex tourist facility area.
It’s believed that the casino will have JPY¥1.8 trillion ($13.5bn) invested into it, with both MGM and Orix having a 40% stake in the company each. The remaining 20% will be split between local, Osaka-based companies, including the railway and electric power companies.

An extensive street-paving project required to create the 3.8-mile raceway (which runs from Koval Lane to Sands Avenue and then down Las Vegas Boulevard to Harmon Avenue) started in April, affecting the Strip and adjacent roads and disrupting driving for resort guests and casino employees who service the resort corridor’s 150,000 rooms. Locals once boasted that it only took 15 minutes to get anywhere within the easy-to-navigate city. That narrative has been replaced with gripes about gridlock and orange cones.

Completed in record time, the multistory Paddock Building — the length of three American football fields and located just off the Strip, behind Planet Hollywood resort — will cost an estimated $480 million.
In ground-floor garages adjacent to the starting line, each racing team will have three days to completely build out their space, constructing two cars on site for the night race. Upstairs, there is the Paddock Club and suites as well as the Wynn Grid Club.

Chapman Taylor has revealed its innovative design for the 150,000m2 GBA Porta Jeddah mixed-use development in Saudi Arabia.
Acting on behalf of Al Akaria, the project is set to become an iconic landmark in the city, featuring a wide variety of retail, F&B and leisure as well as a 150-key lifestyle hotel, branded residences and workplace amenities.

The design draws inspiration from the city’s rich cultural heritage and includes elements that evoke powerful memories of Jeddah, such as the Makkah gate, the old port, Al Balad and the palace gardens.

Several of Nevada’s largest publicly traded gaming companies are planning to invest billions of dollars into casino and resort developments throughout the U.S. and internationally. But Las Vegas, for now, is an afterthought.
Wells Fargo Financial gaming analyst Daniel Politzer told investors in a research note earlier this month that projects developed by the Las Vegas Sands, Wynn Resorts and MGM Resorts International could be the most lucrative of the proposals. But some might not make it past the planning stages.

He said Las Vegas Sands, which no longer has gaming properties in the U.S. after the sale of its Strip resorts for $6.25 billion 16 months ago, will spend more than $13 billion to expand and upgrade its Macau and Singapore resorts and is seeking to build a hotel-casino project on Long Island, New York. However, the company is one of nine bidders for three New York City gaming licenses.

Rendering provides a view of the planned $3.9 billion Wynn Al Marjan Island in the United Arab Emirates. The project is expected to open in 2027.

Egypt Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Ahmed Essa, held an expanded video conference meeting on Sunday in the presence of the general supervisor of the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) project and the surrounding area Atef Moftah, as part of a weekly follow-up on the project.
[QUOTE]A statement by the ministry stated that the work team of archaeologists and restorers began placing an average of more than 160 artifacts per day, starting last week, to finish putting all the artifacts in their showcases.
During the meeting, it was confirmed that the progress of work in the museum was carried out according to the deadlines set for their completion, following the plan developed in April to complete all remaining work on the museum by September.[/QUOTE
